I've been trying to get the toolset to run under linux, with no success. I was able to run the game normally without any problems, but for whatever reason the toolset just doesnt' work.

 

I've got .Net 2.0, vcrun2005 and vcrun2008 (just in case) of installed on that wineprefix.

 

Was anyone ever able to run the toolset from wine?

Does the Windows XP (SP3) compatibility mode setting work in Wine? I'd give that a try.

There is no such thing afaik.

There's something called wincfg, although the documentation says it emulates Windows XP by default.

I was at least able to get skywing's compiler working. I even tried running the toolset in a VM, and to no surprise it didn't work.

 

ps. I'm trying to run the nwn2 toolset on a linux OS. If someone's got some pointers I'd love to hear them!
