Hello all,
Here is a new placeable I made for NWN2
http://neverwinterva...ak/cliff-stairs
Sadly, for some reason, I could not make it walkable.
It says it requires RWS cliffs. Can I ask why?
Texture re-use, I'm guessing. It looks good; nice work.
Yeah, the texture is from RWS cliffs. I suck at texturing.
The reason it isn't walkable seems to be because of the open back sides of the walk mesh. Once I added that in and extended them to the same level below ground, I could get the walkable mesh to bake properly. It should be easy to address.

Would be cool as just the curved stair part without the cliff wall. ![]()
Strange, I tried just that, added 2 polygons at the back, extended all the edge vertices to -500 and still nothing shows in the 'Baked' view.
It's a really nice addition, thank you.
With the walk mesh issues sorted it will look fine in an area I have already set up ![]()

Ok, I managed to bake it properly now. I can still walk through it. Strangely, the game will use the path, but only in 2d, as if the Z axis doesn't exist. A character will walk along the path, if I click on it, but it will remain at height 0. This is probably some setting in the toolset which I don't enable properly.
I was able to ascend the stairway without a problem. Do you have "Walkable" selected in the blueprint? That needs to be disabled and the blueprint set to Static.
Yes, the placeable is static and walkable is not checked.
I uploaded a new version to the vault. The mesh bakes properly, still no Z axis ascension
Seems to work fine, and it looks great. Thanks for the contribution.

Strange, even OC placeables have these issues. Something is wrong with my setup.
Update 1.2: Added a mirrored model, just in case someone needs it.

Always need more models, and this is a great addition. I'd love to see more added to the RWS Cliff collection as I use it extensively.
I do have a suggestion about making the top a little more natural and not so flat, but it is quite nice as it is.

Apparently, deleting the module and creating a new one solved my problems.
The flat top is supposed to make a builder's life easier. no need to cover a large area with a pile of obscuring placeables.
Also, I need a better name than cliff stairs...
Very nice models, I would very much like to use those.
Cliff path, Cliff Richard ... Clifton suspension bridge. I can see may options but cliff stairs works well too.

Very nice model. Hope to see more, you do good work.
1.2: Added a straight path and a 90 degrees outer bend.
Working on some inner bends and variations.
