I hate watching RPG let's plays. So boring. Why watch them make choices when you can too? Most likely, we'll be seeing a demo next year, so hopefully that answers more questions on how the game will feel like. Once you watch that Let's Play, most likely, you will no longer be interested in buying it because you spoiled yourself the contents of the game already. Spoiling yourself the story and gameplay of the game, and feeling disappointed(if you do become disappointed)will, most likely, result in not buying at all.
Anyone else need to see a let's play or a walkthourgh before buying?

No, I will buy it and have it installed on day 1 release.
At 57 years old, I have come to realise that my tastes in games is not the same as other peoples. The ending in ME3 didn't bother me.., yes it could of been better, but i really didn't understand why there was so much hate for an ending. Had me totally amused.
Cheers

I mean, where is the distrust for Mass Effect coming? They have always delivered a top product (graphic and story wise) and never dissapointed me.
Likely from the backlash that was the ME3 ending pre-extended cut and to a smaller extent, post-extended cut.
The only games I've watched Let's Plays or Walkthroughs of when considering purchasing a game were for games/series I've never played before, from developers I didn't know much, if anything about. I'll be pre-ordering and purchasing a Collector's Edition of ME:A, so I guess the answer for this question is no, I don't. I understand and respect your choice to wait until more information is available/the game is released and video footage is viewable, given your comment on expectations that's a reasonable stance to have.
I myself have optimistic expectations, I enjoyed the previous three games and will likely enjoy ME:A as well.

Naah, but I want to say what community has to say of bugginess of the game before I buy it.

I will wait. Got most of my games late and cheap and it saved me a lot of annoyance with unpatched games full of bugs. In some cases it was like "this game is utter crap because of its bugs" and I was "huh never encountered these, ah ok, before they patched it."

Well, for me a (good and long) review (in either a gaming magazine or on Youtube!) will be enough - I don't really like let's plays (why would I watch someone beating a game instead of playing it myself? - I only watch an LP if I don't want to buy the game at all but still interested in it!)

Because I sure do. I don't have much hope for this game. With my expectations down I mite enjoy the game. But I'm pretty sure that there's going to be disappointment anyway you look at this game. Everyone is asking for almost everything to be perfect and we know that it will not be perfect. We've got people wanting more out of SP and we've got people wanting more out of MP. I can only see this going bad as they try to please everyone. I feel that buy trying to please everyone, everything is going to get half done and on won will be to happy with the end result. I'm just hoping that Bioware takes there sweet time and gets it done right.
I am with you on it. I expect the game to be a complete disaster. ME series was done - a beautiful (yes, questionable at some points, but still) piece of work. Rounded up, finished, a single masterpiece. Using franchise again looks like either a desperate attempt to create anything (aka complete luck of ideas and deadline for a new game) or milking that caw dry for pure money-grubbing reasons (a la Star Wars prequels). May be both reasons, but the point is my expectations here - at best mediocre game with meaningless story in familiar environment, at worst - some sort of "fanfic" about our beloved Universe.
Ho, and DAI experience plus very same promotion with MEA now (exploration! mount! graphics!) - are not very reassuring either.
Would be the happiest player out there if I am wrong, but as of now would not risk pre-order.

I dunno, they've had 3 years to move on from an ending that wasn't even that bad.

No. But I'm going to give it probably 3-4 weeks so workarounds and patches for bugs can be ironed out.

I don't know....the fact that is exploration focused and that it aims to bring back the memories and feelings of old ME1 (ahh yess I sure do love my rose tinted glasses) sort of half sold the game for me already BUT to be totally sold I need to see who are the squadmembers, I found DAI ones underwhelming for me so if I like what BW will be offering in MEA then ofc I will pre-order the digital deluxe edition. However if I don't like the squadmembers then I will wait till a sale.
It really depends on them at this point, I'm positively oriented towards Andromeda however the stellar cast of ME is what made me a big fan of the franchise unlike DA. We shall see I guess. I still play ME3 while DAI I left it on the shelf after my first run.

No.
Beyond the fact that I just don't like Let's Plays in general - sole exception being Renegade for Life, which is hilarious - this is more spoilers than I would want.
I need to see some good work from Bioware, and I need a couple good reviews from trusted sources. That's it.

And then they spoil story events.
Ideally, before buying a game I'd like to know just about every mechanical detail, but nothing else.

Nope. Day 1 purchase because Mass Effect is beautiful.
This. Even after that first trilogy.
I have an extremely hard time being anything but excited about a new Mass Effect game. I can be measured and critical with their other IPs, but it all falls to pieces once I get a glimpse of... almost anything in there.
"Massive" "exploration" and "mako" finished me off.

There's likely to be a glut of info before the game's even available to buy. I intend to have it the very same night of its release.
As do I or at least the very next day

Also why would you purposefully spoil the game if you're interested in buying it in the first place? Why not just wait and see what other people's impressions are?

It used to be that I would preorder as soon as they said preorders are available. I will preorder the next dragon age without thought but not ME. Plus the let's play I usually watch come out a few days and some cases a few weeks before the game is released which are saved streams from streamers that get it early. However, I have a nagging feeling that for me ME will become another Assassin Creed which I stopped playing with Black Flag. The game simply can't excite me to make a reasonable purchase.

Although DA:I was not as good as I thought it would be, I'm glad I bought it. Truth be told, I was super excited for the MP, and now I have about 1h of MP gameplay... so, yeah. Still, worth it.
I'm pretty much sold for ME:A already, because ME franchise is one of my favorites, and I really like space-exploration stuff. So far the game sounds cool to me, even if they are throwing the whole trilogy out to the window, this whole "reboot" thingy has it's charms, I don't know.

I'll most likely get it on release date. Or, at the very least, the week right after release date. I wasn't disappointed in ME3 (besides the way side-quests were done). There hasn't been a single BioWare game that I have actually been disappointed in, actually.

I'd rather hope there will be a demo for pc again. Because even if the story sucks (or isn't even present like in ME2), gameplay and multiplayer might be enough for me to buy the game. So far gameplay has been improved significantly in every sequel and the multiplayer was/is just awesome.
