Agreeing with everything in the video

Identical reaver build

Also including to the death for legionnaire and maybe katari

I am not recommending anyone using zither on Ferelden Castle

Same ideas for arcane, though undecided with for the moment between dispel and spirit blade as an AoE move

Advising against using Lunge and Slash for nightmare legionnaire

Tested succesfully

Avvar
-Korth Might
-Crushing Leap
-Hakkon's Charge
-War Horn or Rage of the Avvar

the above reaver

Keeper
-static cage
-chain lightning
-Fade cloak
-barrier

elementalist
-Winters grasp
-Firewall
-Immolate
-Barrier

Above arcane

duelist (some description needed here)
-Fallback Plan
-Flashing Steel
-Keelhaul
-Broadsides

full descriptions otw

Here's my thread again http://forum.bioware...d-thread/page-1

Rage of the avvar is terrible. So is winters grasp and immolate on elementalist.

Can you record some of your gameplay using these builds? I have a hard time believing that you have success with some of them on NM.

Avvar : war horn slightly more useful than korth s might.

Reaver : solid

EEle : for nm I go with barrier and chaotic focus fire mine, fire wall, meteor storm

Keeper: ran successfully with barrier, static cage, fade cloak, disruption field or dispel. (chain lightning is not that useful compared to df or ds.

Assassin : all damage passives and perma stealth never here build. Twin fangs + hidden blades + death blow or shadow strike. Note: demons will still brutalize you most likely.

Dualist : I tested bolt broadsides ambush, flashing steel so far. I don't take swashbuckle atm as I need those coins for survivability and not damage. Izzy wrecked stuff (demons) but I was in a very good team.
Necro : ran ice mine, fade step, eb, wb so far. No significant problems except wave 4 demons withought a barrier spammer or aggro manager in that round went to the fade. In a different team composition (Lego instead of AW that was not a problem)

I like to use knee haul instead of ambush simply because that tend to mean i can get 2 or 3 elusives from 1 flashing steel. My stats are quite low so that when I use ambush, even if I hit from the back i still can't 1 hit kill most of the mobs which then I have to deal with the aggro due to the taunting effect and end up losing most of my precious elusives.

On top of that, I just simply find using more ranged attacks helps to avoid accidentally draw some aggro from mobs further back the line, despite I still have to try and sneak in to do that occasional flashing steel. Oh, and knee haul can be really helpful if you could chain some elite enemies with the standard mobs, especially in cases like you chain a pride demon with some, say, spirits.

(Yes I know if I'm lucky I can deal like 10k damage with ambush if I crit, but I still can't one hit things unless they have lost some health already. But I assume your team can easily handle that right? I'm not tanking as a duelist for sure simply because my stats are s***)

I was thinking of taking the assassin into NM but i dont know if id deal enough damage to chain IWNH to be in perma stealth. Flank attack could mitigate this but its still pretty unreliable.

Yeah tanking is in general a bad idea with any rogue. Of course we always played with either an ele or Zither which meant I always had one eye open for the barrier provider in the group to make sure I return to him on occasion and don't go Rambo. I always take ambush though because it is on the way to that great invincibility passive. Ambush if it outright does not kill the target shreds it to a sliver of health. And most of the time it still kills it. I loved wrecking revanants and arcane horrors with it on the weekend. But I saw some revs chained with keel haul this we too which looked quite funny. It depends if you go team ranged than just use more ranged abilities with izzy but we had a Zither and reaver in the group so it was more front line oriented.

In reply about assassin to pork : she has enough firepower to take out regular units using twin fangs following death blow and you still have hidden blades as security. That's with top end daggers (dragon and Savage thorn, don't have hakkon yet) The problem is I find she still even with that somehow does not kill the endless mobs fast enough that they not overwhelm the other characters unless there is a serious other dps class like reaver in the group. And to top it off you still get hit by those arrows and bolts and mines even when in stealth. Arcane horrors and their projectiles where a real nightmare. All those ice mines and beams in wave 4 demons are also brutal. Chances are you will be hit by something sooner than later, since it's coming from all directions and since she is so squishy it usually means quick death. As for camping near a barrier provider well it sucks as the assassin is most effective in the open.
