Honestly, for the most part, I thought the drop rates on non-consumables was fair, with the exception of rare gear. It wasn't until the weekend challenge weapons were transferred to the store that I thought there was a problem. That and the last DLC increased the number of UR's by a huge percentage. I also feel for the guys who started in June 2014 and will take longer to get that Claymore X than I did. The drop rate % wise is totally fair, but if you're like me and use consumables every game, sometimes the RNG system can dictate what weapons you use. I'd like to be able to get a Shotgun Rail Amp III more than once every 15 hours.Although I do agree that statistically speaking late comers had it worse than those that started at launch, this thread should still be closed for overall lack of quality posts. (eg. drop rate begging)

I am fine with the drop rate, but more specific options would be nice, IE, Assault Rifle packs, Shotgun Packs, and Gear Packs. Since I've come out of retirement, I've gotten 6 Ultra Rare weapons and no Shotgun Rail Amp III's.People can already exchange time for money - those who have more time to play can earn stuff by playing, some can speed things along by investing real money. The complete randomness of what you get for your $ does not encourage people to spend on MP.
Which might be relevant in a PvP environment.
As long as you have reasonable access to the same gear without paying extra, I don't really see what the problem is.
------
Please note: I'm not advocating being able to purchase a specific item, only a pack that would be more focused toward getting something specific. A weapon pack that *might* contain an UR weapon, but *will* contain common weapon upgrades. Etc.

"Hurr I played for 1700 hours this game sucks!"
The extreme backwardness of some of the posting in this thread is absolutely mind blowing.
