I am trying to add a new tile texture to the castle set.

I have:

  • Created my texture as a .dds (just a floor)
  • Added my new texture to the 2da in the form.

30, CastleFloor03, TL_SC_TilesetF03.dds, SC, No

  • Moved the new texture and 2da to my override folder
I fire up the tool set and I can see the new texture Castlefloor 03 in the drop down but I cannot get the texture to show. I get the texture missing coloured grid. My file names used are:

TL_SC_TilesetF03.dds
TL_SC_TilesetF03_N.dds
TL_SC_TilesetF03_T.dds

Can anyone see something I am doing wrong here?

Do you need the .DDS at the end of the TL_SC_TilesetF03 entry in the 2DA?

The other entries do. Initially I left it out but I have tried both ways now.

Spelling error in texture name? The textures are not case sensitive so that's not an issue.

Sadly no, I copy pasted the texture name. I will check again when I get some time tonight.

Everything looks like it should be. Perhaps one of the texture file names has a capitol 'O' instead of a zero?

I have it working now, thanks for all the suggestions.

I redid all of the setting up steps again and it worked. I did not see what the issue was but it's doing what it should now :)
