I know the whole armor tinting thing has been around for awhile, but I was wondering if people put any effort into creating a kind of color-uniform for their inner circle. If so, what is the color scheme. I thought about tinting the armors to look like the colors of the inquisition itself (like maybe the banners or something). Just unsure of the scheme.

black and red... I even strive for this pattern with their weaponry though not at the cost of performance...

 

My favorite companion look has got to be Varric in T3 Rogue Mail (chest, arms, legs)... red/black metal with black cloth and leather... I use a ton of texture mods...

I haven't yet... but now that you mention it, I may. Maybe my next playthrough will be "Inquisition: Men (and Women!) in Black".

Yes... On first arriving at Skyhold I craft everyone a new set of armor and tint them in the appropriate colors. The characters I don't typically use will remain in that armor for the rest of the game while my primary team gets upgraded over time.
 
Primary cloth: dark samite (gray), OR the modded (black) everknit from LL Crafting Material Fixes
Secondary cloth: highever weave (red)
Leather: great bear (dark gray)
Metals, dependent on armor design: iron, onyx, bloodstone

I sacrifice weapon performance when it comes to weapon upgrades; hilts, grips, etc. Several of the staff grips and blades, and sword hilts have a metal slot and if it is a different color than the weapon it can look weird.

I think I will do the Black/Dark Grey and red for all party members, except for (possibly) Blackwall and Solas.
