Ever heard of Killzone 2?

Of course I have but that doesn't mean I've played it or any of the Killzone games, so how could I know who any of the characters are? That's like asking "Have you heard of Star Wars?" to someone who didn't know who Darth Vader is.

Of course I have but that doesn't mean I've played it or any of the Killzone games, so how could I know who any of the characters are? That's like asking "Have you heard of Star Wars?" to someone who didn't know who Darth Vader is.

But if you going to explain who Darth Vader is, determining how much context you need to provide helps you avoid sounding condescending.

Okay, I fail to see where these threads that keep suggesting outside-IP characters have any freaking relevance or actual constructive feedback for the game.  You may as well be asking for Big Bird from Sesame Street as a Turian with giantism, Spongebob Squarepants as a variant Hanar, or Darth Vader as a Reaper Agent.  It's just plain silly and pointless.  All you're doing is wasting bandwidth.

No. It's a question.

If I start telling you who Darth Vader is as if you haven't heard of Star Wars, when in fact you have, I would expect you to perceive condescension.

So I would check first, and then explain Darth Vader from within the relevant context.

Please, you should know damned well that the shaved gorilla does fuсk all to wound me, unless my having to listen to his incessant, repeated whining about needing a revive after I gun him down for the 58th time in a row counts as "wounding". Spare me the indignity.
