I'm buying chests, and seeing 5 healing potions or Lyrium potions every time. I have 255 (likely 3000 or so) of each of those.
Is it not working? I don't have very many bees, regen or mist pots. Those I'd really like to have more of.

Literally nobody asked for them to adjust the spawn radius, Nobody. Not a single person. We have however been asking for networking improvements since launch and have recieved jack sh*t. Screw me for wanting a game I bought to work right?
I asked for a spawn camping fix because I thought it greatly reduced the challenge on Nightmare and the time needed to acquire Hakkon weapons. When I posted this issue on the beta forums a bunch of people approved the idea, so it looks like I'm not the only one who thought it was worth a fixing.

You say that as someone who already has all 5 Hakkon weapons and who likely spawn camped yourself.
You know how you sound right now?
"I'm farming NM, how dare you interrupt my farming with this undead bullshit".
I like this weekend challenge. It's challenging. I've never seen 3 arcane horrors in one place shooting at me in multiplayer.
PS
If you think that spawn blocking of FC was intended by bioware you are...you need to farm more wisdom.
I have no issue with the WE challenge. I have an issue with enemies spawning on my head.
Luke I got to thinking. Maybe it's still possible to have Wall of Ice in MP, but instead of blocking a path, it behaves like a mix between Wall of Fire and Ice Mine. It generates a Wall of Ice that would come down a second or two after casting, and any enemies that were trapped inside are frozen (barring those immune). It would also leave a line of permafrost that slows enemies down that pass through it. The upgrade could simply extend the range and slow durations.
Also, I'd be really cool if there was a way to implement increased Cross-Class combo damage into one of the accessories as a replacement for Focus Gain.

Sure thing. It was the fastest way to complete the runs. However, I wouldn't complain if Luke removed them from my account so I'd have to farm them again the intended way.
If you're mad (not saying you are) because you can't farm them in less than a week of playtime, then you should consider playing something else. There's a reason these weapons are ultra-rare and a reason why they shouldn't be "farmable" by casual players and pugs alike.
And please don't bring the "DAMP is a casual game" argument.
A solution is to put in more spawn points. I too have had issues with enemies spawning on top of me since it was changed.Sure thing. It was the fastest way to complete the runs. However, I wouldn't complain if Luke removed them from my account so I'd have to farm them again the intended way.

The existence of NM and HB definitely weaken the 'casual game' arguments.

The radius was cut in half as of about 12 minutes ago. We'll see if that fixes it - I don't really want to make it so creatures can spawn on your head...
Um... they're literally spawning on our heads. On FC Nightmare zone 3, if you're at the top right tower, you have 15-20 Red Templar Knights and Shadows all dropping down ONTO your head. Faster than our group could kill them.
This is insanely hard now.
No offence but daimp is a casual game. No dev should cater to the 0.1% at the top, which is exactly what bioware has done.
Saying that Damp IS a casual game is debatable. Damp has very deep mechanics compared to some games on the competitive scene.
In 3 days i havent found a single person in nm or heartbreaker in a public match. It stregthens the argument if anything.
That's either because casuals are expecting DAMP to be a casual game or the matchmaking system / netcode being complete ****. I'd say it's a mix of both

Wait, so this isn't possible anymore?!
Bummer.
At the risk of being ridden out of DAMP on a rail...what is spawn camping? What is this radius change supposed to accomplish?
Just trying to learn stuff - thanks! ![]()
In the FC map enemies spawn in 2 area's in every zone. Example for zone 1, they spawn in the area before the wooden bridge and in the area behind the wooden bridge. Position 1 person in spot 1 and 1 in spot 2, kill all enemies and no new ones would spawn.
Zone 3 example: 1 person stays near the dragon gong and the other on the other side of the bridge between the 2 towers and no new enemies will spawn.
Ahhh...got it! Thanks! ![]()
But...how does making the radius smaller fix that? Other than dropping them on your head, as others have said is happening, of course.

Anyone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but...my guess is in order to prevent enemies from visibly popping in when they spawn, the devs came up with a system to detect how close a player was to the spawn point. If the check returned a value that the player was too close, no enemies would spawn because it would break the immersion/appear unrealistic or game-like. Having them appear without your notice looks more natural. I'm assuming that was the design intent anyway.
Players took advantage of this by running to the spawn points as soon as they opened the door to the zone. This allowed them to kill the first few enemies that spawned and block the spawning of additional enemies. The zone would then clear and allow them to progress. This substantially reduced the time to complete the match and made it far easier to acquire the best weapons in the game.
The devs saw/heard what these players were doing and reduced the value for that distance check. According to impressions on these boards, it appears the value may be too low, as swarms of enemies are now literally popping right on top of players and quickly killing them. The devs may look into it and adjust again.

Spawn camping is when a player stands over an enemy spawn point, preventing the game from using that spawn point to spawn more enemies, therefore significantly reducing the amount of enemies spawned in a wave.

They spawn at about 4-5 areas in every zone. However the "radius" that determines how far your character is able to prevent spawns (= if a spawn point is within that radius) can often reach 2 or more spawn points
This thread has been very amusing. I wonder if some realize how hypocritical they sound here. ![]()

Like Wavebend says, there are actually more then 2 spawn points per zone. You were able to block them with just 2 people though. I think what Luke wanted to do is reduce the spawn radius so that you could only actively block 1 instead of 2 per person, but got carried away a bit.
I'll see if I can get a report on how many people that actually is and decide what to do about it. If it's less than 10 I'm inclined to let them be super awesome but I may offer to swap their less damage one for an item of their choice (or maybe something new next patch). I definitely won't be just deleting it from them without any compensation.

disappointed by this here, its kinda messed up that a few people will have two amazing daggers while the rest of us will only ever get one now. if there is one thing i liked about DAIMP its the fact no one had anything that nobody else could have (until now). even those crazy strong top leaderboards guys stats could be reached with enough time and dedication... but this... isn't fair.
Thanks everybody for answering my questions! Happy undead slaying ![]()
2. Changes to Potion Drop Rates
Potions gained from chests will now stop appearing if you hit 255 of that specific potion.
This does not work for me. I spent about 50-60k worth of gold in mixed potions. I checked in multiple occasions to see I receive potions I have 255 of via before-after screenshotting.
