I'm buying chests, and seeing 5 healing potions or Lyrium potions every time. I have 255 (likely 3000 or so) of each of those.

 

Is it not working? I don't have very many bees, regen or mist pots. Those I'd really like to have more of.

 

Yeah, I don't think it is working. I am getting the same overall drop rates of mixed potions as I did previously.. that is to say an even spread. I can say this honestly because I buy mixed potions en masse, enough to actually empirically derive a drop rate.

 

That said, you should consider equipping lyrium potion on every mage you use. It is extremely powerful and useful.

Which level are these hakkon weapons, are they the orange ones(that rarity looks orange to me >.> )? When he talked about daggers i got really afraid of not being able to get a second guard-generating dagger, i don't want to use HoK rings anymore to play with my rogues ;-; that dagger is the only thing that i know that can help it.... (btw the dagger's level is 24 or 25 probably)

This does not work for me. I spent about 50-60k worth of gold in mixed potions. I checked in multiple occasions to see I receive potions I have 255 of via before-after screenshotting.

 

Looks like this one was actually scheduled for next Monday and not today as it plays in with some... other stuff :bandit:

Oh definitely. Not saying I don't use Lyrium. It's on every mage. But I have 255 of them, likely that number unseen is in the thousands, considering how many millions I've spent, and most runs, don't require using a pot.

Good to know. Thanks Luke. Looking forward to that change. Sadly, I spent 100k today hoping to shore up my collection of Regen and Healing Mist (also trying for that rarer Yavanilis staff with on-hit guard my friends are sporting, I've salvaged around 13 Scepter of the Razikale's <_< ). Had I known, I would've waited till next week.

Indeed. I remember that when I posted my topic about buffing the MP escort's health, Luke was on it immediately. :D I sometimes may be snarky towards some of Luke's decisions around the game (and I am definitely salty about the Hakkon weapons drop rate), but outright insulting the people that are doing their job is just... mean. However, topics things that divide the player base will often devolve into counterproductive hate fests.

Saying that Damp IS a casual game is debatable. Damp has very deep mechanics compared to some games on the competitive scene.



That's either because casuals are expecting DAMP to be a casual game or the matchmaking system / netcode being complete ****. I'd say it's a mix of both

Also, along with the netcode, please casually explain to me the clusterfux that is the PC port.

And please don't say "We are getting used to the new Frostbite Engine"

I consume them at every boss just to make them go faster... especially virtuoso vs dragon or other commander.

Seconding/thirding/etc. that spawns are problematic right now.  It's like being in Kirkwall all over again.  (Not that the moment today when three archers dropped into existence right in front of us, all three already mid-Full Draw, wasn't kind of hilarious)  I'm honestly not sure I see a need to change spawns from what they were, it seems to me that it's a very small minority of the playerbase that camps.

 

That being said, totally appreciate that y'all are working on improving the game and continuing to add new content and engaging with us.  Danke!

I'll say that yesterday, we were completing NM FC runs in under 25 min. Today (maybe it's because the weekend event also made it way more challenging) we have to play it safe to stay alive, and runs are easily taking an hour to complete. You can't stand in the spawn and stop the respawn any longer, so that's certainly fixed, but stuff will spawn right on top of you.

Really not getting along with the new spawn distances. Both from the perspective of having two revenants land on top of me, and how silly it looks to have them pop into existence right in front of me. It really is DA2 all over again.

 

Other than that, good changes.

Hakkon dagger doesn't have HoK, guard generation is from Savage Thorn a chest item, it doesn't have HoK and the guard isn't enough not to use HoK

Some of us have time to play only on the weekend. I was planning to get a good gaming session for some NM grinding this Sunday but I guess I'll just have a longer exercise session instead. It's more healthy anyway.

There are most certainly players around here like this, but I would not generalize it to say that even the majority of players are like this, nor have the devs always been so good at communicating. Things are definitely tons better than, say, back in February.

Why can't you get 2 daggers? That's just... lame :( That's like saying you can't have a level 26 shield with a level 26 sword. They're both required.

I know this goes against the grain for what you just patched recently - with regards to Barrier - but I think the Keeper ought to be able to generate more Barrier for the team than any other class that can caste barrier. She's largely a support class, and having Barrier take a "Health" nerf somewhat takes away from her archetype. I'm not saying it should revert back to the 5000 range. More like the mid-to-high 3000's. It could be a good incentive for players who find that it they'd rather just go with the Elementalist since Barrier doesn't protect as much as it used to. Just my two cents.

 

Also, I think it'd be cool if she had an increased radius for her barrier. Most classes at this point have something highly unique about them at this point, and I think this could be the best thing for the Keeper.

Honestly, it's radius needs a huge buff. Like to somewhere around 8-15 metres. having everyone crowd up like sardines every time you want to cast Barrier has always been annoying, which usually leads to the Keeper just picking one character that's drawing the most aggro and keep that guy alive.

Honestly, it's radius needs a huge buff. Like to somewhere around 8-15 metres. having everyone crowd up like sardines every time you want to cast Barrier has always been annoying, which usually leads to the Keeper just picking one character that's drawing the most aggro and keep that guy alive.

They really just need to make keeper barrier hit all 4 teammates no matter where they are and make it stronger than all other characters' barriers. As it stands I get more use out of static cage and disruption field on my keeper than barrier. Where's the sense in that?

In theory, 2 Hakkon's Daggers would be pretty OP.

In reality, 1 Hakkon's Dagger is already way OP in Perilous but 2 Hakkon's Daggers are just ok/good on Nightmare. This means, 2 Hakkon's Daggers isn't a problem at any difficulty...

honestly now that barrier has been "put in its place" something like this would go a long way into making it just a tad bit better. even just a one or two meter bigger radius would help out so much.

Well, the Virtuoso has an 8 metre radius on Hometown Anthem, so having Barrier at least be about the same would feel a bit better.

 

So the measure of balance is between strength (percentage of Barrier given), casting radius, mana cost, and cool down.

 

Comparatively:

 

Ability:              Hometown Anthem         Barrier (Ability)

Strength:                   20%                           100%

Radius:                      8m                              4m

Cost:                      25 mana                     50 mana

Cool Down:               0 sec                          24 sec

 

So with this broken down, Barrier has better strength, but worse radius, cost, and cool down. That doesn't feel like Barrier is very balanced.
