Ugh, I needed my level 20 assassin to solo and get the kills, so I wasn't able to take advantage of the double XP.  Not enough time...or skill lol  But, I did it!

I absolutely loved this weekend challenge. I took my Elementalist out for a spin with a barrierless build ... Fire Wall / Fire Bomb / Immolate / Fire Storm. Wow what a blast! Promoted four times. Need to stop though as con and cun need love, not will.

 

Would like to see Arcanes and Revs added randomly in the future, just to add a bit of spice

I decided to fire up ye ol DAMP and did Feralden Castle on threatening and even though it was a breeze for me... Like Hella easy, It made me wonder how new players could survive it with 15 of those Dark Revenants in one run.

Funny you should mention it.  I recently started up a new profile on XB1 and started fresh with DAIMP.  Man, I forgot how difficult even routine is with low level everything.  Even routine mooks feel like tanks.

 

Anyhow, yes, this was a particularly difficult weekend for new players.  Arcane Horrors and Revenants were a royal pain overall.  I did my best to let other players aggro them, but once in a while they'd set their sights on me and if I didn't die too quickly I'd run around while letting the team finish them; kinda comical in a way.  I think the Benny Hill theme should automatically play in situations like this. 

 

I really really really look forward to unlocking Enhanced Health Belt (of course, Superb would be superb!), and Life Drain rings, as well as better weapons.

Reflecting back on this challenge:

 

I found the chaos to be so much fun and the double XP was amazing. This is one of those challenges where it feels like there was a lot of care taken in designing it and I never payed attention to completing it, I was more concerned about playing with the super difficult faction and milking the extra xp it just kind of completed itself. That's the best. Making a challenge that doesn't feel like a chore.

Revenants bring back so many cool memories from DA:O.

Oh look a gravestone in the forest. Sure I'll disturb it, what's the worst that can happen? 30 seconds later - oh right - total party wipe.

Revenants were my benchmark as I first played that game. Ooo - level up - was I tough enough to take one out now? For a very long time, the answer remained no.

Then, once I finally beat one, there was a confused pause and a quick disbelieving double check that everyone was still standing. Swiftly followed by a growing realisation and accompanying grin that it was time to temporarily abandon my quest to save the world in order to return to the Dalish forest and get some long overdue payback.

I love fighting Revenants - whether they're kicking my butt or I'm kicking theirs.

So thank you for this weekend - it's been a great trip down an avenue of terrifying nostalgia - to the days when you really had to think twice before picking up some random glass vial you just found lying around in an Elven ruin.

22 promotions since Thursday and could have had more if I could handle NM with a lvl 14.
Some Epic encounters and crazy shenanigans.

My Favourite Moment:
Getting yo-yoed by 3 Revenants during a boss fight! It happened so fast not one of them laid a hand on me! RTC did tho! ROFLStomped me as I was flying past!!! If I new how to post vids you could all laugh for hours! I did. Pure Karnage

Having multiples really did create some chaotic shenanigans!
Like being yoinked into an Arcane Horrors spiral attack. I've even run out of a door only to get yoinked straight back through the room to the one behind it, waving to my friends as I sped past.
