Ever play a game and totally think your PC looks awesome? Only to play a few hours in an decide, "Well, gee this hairstyle is stupid?"  I'm sure some of us has.  I could spend hours in a character creator just to make sure my character looks good, then get into game and be disappointed.

I'm not saying once we get into the game, you do a total character redo.  But to be able to change facial hair, hairstyles, hair colors, add or remove jewelry/make-up, stuff like that.

What do you all think?

I think i suggest something like this in my thread about augmentations, but yes as it is the future, you'd think you'd be able to get easy accessible cosmetic surgery whenever you wanted it in the med bay. Dr Chakwas was able to repair Shepard's scars in the med bay, and they could do implants for Shepard's cybernetics so im sure they could do what you'e suggestion there as well.

It is possible, I'm sure many fans would enjoy this, without having to restart and recreate their character after playing a few hours in.  It would be cool.

It exist in swtor . You can go and change your look and even race in exchange of real money any time without a Limit (beside your wallet one) .

So maybe it can be done . Maybe in the bathroom of your quarters you can look at the mirror and change your look again or in medbay .

Dragon Ages have the Mirror of Transformation which is essentially an in-game character editor, so I don't see why something like that wouldn't be possible in ME as well.

Please don't suggest micro-transactions! In-game currency is fine, like 50,000 credits or something.  And it increases in price after each use.

Given the progression of tissue cloning and prosthetic work in the future, Mass Effect's setting is one of the more credible venues where this should be possible.

Makes more sense than a mirror of transformation or that goofy magical plastic surgeon in Skyrim.

They could do it like a super advanced surgery tool in the medbay. Too bad being in another galaxy and timeframe takes away the opportunity to make jokes about Brazil.

I'm not suggesting they put a price tag on us when we change our Look . I hate it as much you do believe me .

I'm just saying something like that exist in Swtor .

Although...in that twitter thread.....didnt they say they make something like what we had in DA2 ?? that shop with a mirror ?

And I do hope they can simply include that feature from the start without waiting half a year. At the end - same engine, same company, should not be that difficult!

Definitely, as much as I love that the Black Emporium was a free DLC, it really made no sense why it wasn't a part of the game to begin with.  MEA needs one, right from the start.

I'd love being able to change our appearance at any time in the game, at least the hair.

I'd also like to be able to edit the default character. ME's Male Shep was 90% how I wanted my character to look. ME3's Femshep is actually what I was trying to make in the first two.

This!  I love Male Shepard's hair cut.  That's how I used to cut my hair before I started locking my hair (dreadlocks).  If they don't have locks, I would LOVE for a haircut that doesn't look like someone took a wahl clipper and just shaved my head.

But yes also to be able to change certain features of the default PC would be awesome.  So you can tweak them to your liking.

If they introduce an in-game character editor, then they need to introduce it in the beginning stages of the game, such as when we get access to the ship or the hub-station/planet.

They don't need to explain it. Just have our character's mirror have the ability to edit our face.

Bioware really needs to add this to all of their games. That way we can RP our characters by having our beards grow or shaving them, cutting our hair and such.

So many horrible memories. I can't even THINK about replaying the ME1, ME2, and ME3 tutorials anymore because I played them so much. It's like eating so much of something as a kid that you can't even look at that thing of food without wanting to barf. ME2 was the worst in that regard because I had to replay the opening cutscenes so many times. It's actually killed my desire to do trilogy run throughs. I have comfort files that I go to when I want to play through each game now, placed AFTER the tutorials. I tend to make the same choices and whatnot on comfort playthroughs so I don't have to worry about import blues either.

It wasn't just my character's appearance though, it was also about the class. I can never decide what class I want to play as and I end up restarting my game a dozen times because I can't decide. The day Inquisition came out I picked up my copy at 10:00am and I played the game the whole day... and didn't get past the tutorial until 6:00pm that same day.

They can't fix the class situation, but I would definitely love a medical table that lets me rechange my character's face. Their face never gets a special mention in the games anyway. Shepard can look like a demon and everyone will still be after his balls. Would also like it if I could change my class on NG+.
