This is how you do DLC bioware!

Granted, they're called expansion packs but ultimately they're dlc's. The difference between what CD is doing than what Bioware usually does is that CD dlc's will be more longer and have more quality content. Heart of Stones and Blood & Wine expansions for the Witcher 3 will add up to 30hrs of all new content - 10 and 20 respectively.
It pains me to see Bioware being behind the times, being lesser than what they were!

It's about money. Shorter dlcs earn more of a profit.

Charging $5 for a few extra armors and a new throne. That's a funny joke, Bioware.

DAI - Jaws of Hakkon 5hours long, fetch quests, no quality content like cinematics, dialogue etc...
TW3 - Heart of Stone 10 hours long, quality content much similar to the vanilla Witcher 3 content.
The Witcher expansions aren't even out yet, a little early to judge if it will be better than Jaws of Hakkon(though i believe they will). And for your information i spent 10 hours on Hakkon the first time.

Is it October already?
While it's quite possible that the DLC will be wonderful (and even if it isn't, the OP will say it is), but it isn't out yet. So far, the only thing BioWare would learn from one of the OP's countless "This is how you do it!!!111!1!1!" threads is to tell the media "Coming soon!"

Ten extra hours of Witcher 3 content is ten hours too many.
Witcher 3 is an objectively better game than DAI so to many people they'd prefer more Witcher 3 content than useless fetch quest dlc's for DAI. And that's that.

Can't wait for those Witcher 3 DLC.
But I'm looking forward to seeing the next DAI story DLC if I'm to be honest, it'll be interesting to see what they can do with the shackles off. Even if it sucks for people who got screwed over.
This video might confuse a few people, but is kind of on point I think. Especially the start given BW's recent 'offerings'

There are many reasons that The Witcher 3 sells better and had a better reception with critics than DA:I. Not the reasons you want it to be, but thats ok ![]()

I'd love to see this evidence that it is an objectively better game. Subjectively sure since people like different things, but objectively?

I don't like objectivity as a word when talking about quality in video games

1) Better graphics irrelevant for me but for some people it's important.
2) Quest design praised by everyone, even fetch quests are good. Side quest are real with choices at the end..
3) Story and game play pacing is done good in Witcher 3 I am surprised I expected same bad pacing as DA:I overleveling.
4)Multiple endings this is what Mass Effect 3 should have bin. And DA:I have just one anticlimactic ending.

I agree with the Hawkeye and McIntyre GIF above: every time the OP make a thread like this, everyone should just a shot of their favorite liquid refreshment.

So 90 minutes of cutscenes and the other 8.5 hours killing drowners and wraiths? j/k, i'm about 60 hours into TW3 having done everything in Velen/Novigrad/White Orchards and 90% of it I can't remember.

When I preordered TW3, I paid an extra $25 for 100+ extra hours of downloadable gameplay. This I did through the EB Games (Gamestop for you US peeps), where they gave me a code. The expansion is out AND was downloadable.

You don't know if it is 100 extra hours though. Its like saying The Witcher 3 is 200 hours long and i still beat the game in 60 hours, and did well over 50% of everything. So in 100 hours i would have completed it all. It varies from person to person, that is why a developer can never make promises on how long content lasts. Not saying the expansion pass is a bad deal btw(it is not), just sayng that you don't know how much content you are getting.
