Good day BSN,

Please rate your multiplayer community. Tell us your experience from PUGing/skilled players/Attitude of players/leaderboards/activity.

PC/PS4/PS3/XB1/XB360

We want to know!

I am currently on PS3/ET/USA and find that there seems to be a pretty healthy community. Lots of activity on the weekends, almost always people playing routine and threatening (maybe perilous now after patch). The players on the leaderboard are all very nice from the ones I have met willing to help out and carry difficult matches if you are attentive and don't go out of your way to be stupid. Lots of people on mic, there have been very few people that I run into that are obnoxious. Only really about 1 game a month do I run into someone that is being rude or mean. In the 6 months I have played I have 2 players on my block list and that wasn't until recently.

Objectively, it does feel like there is a very strong "middle class" and the higher end players are (rightfully so) gated off in preivate matches. This will likely get worse with the addition of the new difficulties. But there does seem to be enough pugging going on to allow people to play at most anytime of the day. Only a couple times have I not been able to find a threatening match to jump into.

Tell me about your DAIMP community!

Nobody plays nightmare on pc outside of private lobbies. Barely anyone plays perilous in pugs either. And when i do find a lobby, there is narnia bug/lag/disconnects. Back to other games for me. This sh*t is dead.

I have seen a lot of people complain about the PC community. Can you share what region you are playing from? I am curious if players in other PC regions echo that sentiment.

Part of the PC community here and I think it's a fantastic one :)

DAMP circles are small and incestuous so you can't help but run into a lot of the regular players. Most of the people are fun and friendly, so it's not too hard to build up a solid friend list unless you want to be a recluse. I've been pretty lucky and always manage to find the best of the bunch to leech um I mean play with :P so I probably haven't pugged as much as some, but I've found most pugs OK and even added some as friends :) The people are a big part of why I keep playing this despite the bugs and dull parts.

Yea you have jerks and haters but the majority has been positive :wizard:

NA region but I've played with people from SA, Europe and Australia.

PS4 community. PUGs are sometimes hard to come by but i've got a pretty big group of friends now so i spend a lot of time in private matches. Perhaps that means i'm part of the problem.

PC, NA-US East. Evenings and afternoons usually allow for fast perilous pugs after the patch, much less so before. Haven't run into any trolls in a long time, though during the first two months that I played, there was one very no-nonsense player I ran into a lot. Don't think he was a BSNer, but it's been too long to recall accurately. Otherwise, pleasant or silent players are all I run into.

Nightmare pugs are nonexistent, but that goes without saying. Few players are even aware of these message boards, let alone what Nightmare has in store for them before they find out the hard way. I've had a handful of successful runs, but I was usually alone by the end of them. If those players attempt it this weekend, they probably won't go back for months. I know the consensus here is that's how it should be, so moving on...

Most of the longtime or high-level players play amongst themselves in private matches from what I could see/hear.That makes sense, it allows for more consistent and efficient play. That said, I find it unfortunate that latecomers won't have a similar community to enjoy matches like that. I've made a habit of adding those I've had fast matches with, but they don't play nearly as much as the players that started earlier in the game's life. It kind of sucks that there's no reasonable way of bridging that gap without dedicating an obscene amount of time to the game.

I'll continue playing for now, but the lack of a more communicative and social "middle class", as the OP puts it, is becoming increasingly more apparent and problematic the longer I play.

Xbox360 midwest. I think it's fine. I never have trouble getting in private or public lobbies and while the game disconnects and glitches still it's not any worse than it was before. Loads of terrible new players but that's a good thing or at least it will be once they learn the game. Can't complain here.

Might as well chime in with PS3 EST group. The pugging community is alive in routine/threatening/perilous, especially on weekends. Nightmare struggles from ambitious newbies who would really be better off in threatening or even perilous. As a result most upper level players stick to the private party gated community to run NM. I don't have too much of a problem with that but after a while it would be nice to see NM pugging become more realistic. Overall I'm really happy with the community people-wise, and it's the reason I haven't done the perma-transition to PS4 yet. I keep hearing PS4 folks saying it's really dead over there. Any PS4ers on EST care to comment?

Feel free to add me on Origin. I run private matches a lot. That said, I run some pug NM sometimes, and often even win. Sometimes I lose, but that is irregular.

PS3 eu. Playerbase is fairly active and it's easy to fill games most of the time. I'm doing my best to keep the perilous pugs alive.

But the #1 leaderboarder wouldn't let me bring a lvl 1 to perilous today so overall I'd give it a 5/10.

U.S west, PC here. Fairly active, you run into the same folks from time to time in perilous, and nightmare pugging is sparse outside prime times, but fillable usually within 3-5 minutes. Success rates vary by faction, but the average I'd around 62%, but this is a bit skewed as the number of nightmare games I have played is low, somewhere in the forties or fifties. (a few of which were carried by nice folks in the beginning until I got my bearings straight in nightmare). Don't really run into jerks, and most folks are polite and considerate, if they do speak.

USWest PC and PS4 here. I find on ps4 not very many people use voice chat - don't really have issues finding games but I only do NM/HB with friends as I don't trust pugs either :P

If by community you mean the 4 or 5 regular pugs I bump into then not very good. Its hard to judge a community when the matchmaking fragments the player-base...

PS4 Europe is noticing a change of late, skill lv of pugs on threatening has dropped the last few days, but methinks that's because several have migrated to perilous following the armour change, also ran a time experiment, the game is good pre 1pm (bst) then dies until about 4pm. Not sure about pug perilous though.

PS4 US NE. I usually leave my mic off when I play cause no one wants to hear my kids in the background. If people are chatting it up, I will usually clip it on. If I'm in a group with friends I will clip it on. If it's late night PuG time, I'm usually close to buzzed or working towards promoting to drunk, so yeah, it's on then too. I like the community for the most part. People annoy me I just leave.
