Trust me, you don't want to give me the keys to the kingdom.
Every thread would be a Sokka thread?

Isn't Alan Schumacher a mod?
He once gave me a 24hr ban and wrote the moderator equivalent of war & peace in explaining how one of my posts had derailed a thread. I'm thinking about printing it out and framing it.
This is fun.
Though it's unfair if I don't also make fun of myself:
Spoiler
This is a thing of beauty.

Nominated for Post of the Year.
Epic tier post is epic.
Yes. It was a mighty fine post.

"No No BanforYe" Get it? Cuz-- Nevermind.
Get ready for your 666 warning points.
Time to "Trim the fat"
Kaiser Arian should be a mod too.
I never had a problem with the community mods. I was more annoyed by the people who brownnosed them; except Gmagnum I was rooting for him and his quest to obtain the love of that one mod.
What I think of the mods
I would like to take this moment to remind you that people like me would make for the worst mods.
You would all be banned for Heresy.
I think David a.k.a. Baby Puncher should be a mod.
He is not the hero we want. He's the hero we need.

I nominate David for the Modding Games.
Wouldn't recommend it. The point to the BioModsXX is anonymity. If BioWare would hand out moderator priviliges to users that are more than mere names, you give all the disgruntled idiots a face to project their animousity on. That would inevitably just serve to drive away anyone who'd take the job. Plus, people involved with the community as being part of it would have trouble staying impartial. What to do when a user you've been on great terms with violates the ToS? Ignore (a.k.a. not doing your job), moderating and pissing off a user you liked, or pass along for other mods to judge (and potentionally get blamed for it anyway)? What about other users that someone never got along with? Be quick with the warning points/post deletion?
Too much of a hazzle really. Plus, you'd have to be a respectable member of this communty all the time. That alone is a crapton of work. Sometimes I don't want to be respectable, damnit!
Oh i'd be dead... or banned.
Oh ill add mine too.
Warning DetailsWarning issued by BioWareMod03 for Spamming in Profile.
Given 1 points.
I nominate me for a moderator position. My first act will be to permaban Dovah. Nothing personal.
I nominate me as head admin. My first act will be to permaban anyone below the age of 18. Nothing personal either.
Mod03 is love

also community mods are easily corruptible.

Unless you're corruption personified. ![]()
Unless you're corruption personified.
there are some sick freaks in the anime thread for sure.
I'm still trying to figure out why Crusty would nominate me...
Help?
Tho' tbh I'd be a great mod.
Everybody would get banned for being a-holes and like total a-holes.
For example.
"I think Jojo's Bizarre Adventure is absurd and unfunny."
That sh*t would get you perma banned.
Impartial is my first name.
I'm sure Rah would love you being a mod.
They should really make me a mod already.
Like seriously I would be pretty fair.
I know when to give chances/warnings and when to end a user after they go too far. And I can tell when posters are actually joking.
I should be a mod, I would only abuse my power whenever I felt like it.
...Everytime?
I feel like moderators should moderate, impartially and fairly. Which seems to happen somewhat (although the mods are often ghosts in this corner of the forum).
However, what I would like to see is more discussion started, fostered and guided by the Booware Community Team, separate from moderation. On many successful forums, this is done in tandem with moderators, but rarely are they forums that are connected to a particular company.
For instance, RPG net or Somethkng Awful are forums for the sake of forums. While the BSN is a forum dedicated to strictly Bioware products (outside of OT).
In that light, I would expect Bioware would be more involved in conducting communication through this board, rather than viewing it as a bizarre echo chamber experiment from which to silently watch players howling and going slowly more insane by the day.
I nominate me. Guys, I would make the best mod ever.
I totally wouldn't disappear for weeks/months on end and I definitely would respond to any reports I received in a timely fashion. All issues would be swiftly and fairly adjudicated.
My tenure as GodMod would not look like this at all.
