How many of You here actually care about it?  Are all of the BSN people really just tryhards? I played with lots of You, one of my friend kind of sayed it was a bad thing to come back to play, cause all the people seems to care is the scores. I noticed that people here I play with..stops..freezes after every wave..haha to just see where they are in scores. What about just having fun?

No offend to anybody..just a..taught  I stoped cheking my scores..in 2013 during the game :P..bad habit it was. I do it if im synced... :D

The only thing I care about is a successful mission. Should I be in first place, I obviously show off my eSchlong. But that happens rarely anyway.

I use the scoreboard as an indicator of how much I am contributing and to check my pace. Sometimes when I notice games are taking much longer than they should, do to whatever reason..if someone is slacking or dying too much..so on , I will usually gravitate towards that 4th place person for a little while and try to help them kill stuff faster or I will just try to hurry my way thru the match concentrating on the lesser enemies, killing them as fast as possible to eat away at the budget quicker but if a Boss unit decides to get up in my face,, they f-d up bad. I don't mind being outscored at all anymore..makes up for all those times when I have to go Full Blown Kobe Mode in order for the team to even make it thru a match..Lately, if I notice my score is ridiculously high..even when I am not using a top tier character / weapon combo..I do tend to get concerned / REALLY REALLY ANGRY  ..I don't like handing credits to people who didn't earn them or barely contribute anything at all.

I usually don't even look at it until wave 9 or so.  And when I do look at it, it's usually to see just how bad that certain PUG is doing and how he is ruining the game.

I would like to say, that people who are:

Crazy and obsessive about the score board...

AND

People who say it means nothing....

are BOTH crazy and delusional groups of people.

Can I get an amen?!?!?

I don't care about the scoreboard. Last night I played in a match where I thought I played awesome and was way behind. The next match, I played stupidly at a higher difficulty, and topped the scoreboard; a guy who played great sent me a message to apologize, even though he was a Volus support guy and played well. Score is only a minor indicator of how you play.

I didn't really care at all until I got closer to the end of my obsessive play, and even then it wasn't for the obvious "hurr durr look at me". I would look at my score every few waves and either set a target for myself, or try to guess what I would have by wave x. Just a short-lived minigame until I became a joyless husk doing endless speedruns trying to max my manifest.

Well, I got two controllers; one of them has a broken start and back button. but everything else works, the other one has a broken analog and digital pad, but the start button works, so I use that one to get to the main menu, then I switch, therefore I can't check my score during the game (and what's worse, I can't rage quit - unless I hit the off button on my Xbox)

The scoreboard is responsible for about 90% of the competitiveness on this forum. Solos are the 10%.

-Thunderdome was created with not just "team work" but outscoring in mind.

-Every comment claiming a player is better than other said player (in terms of team games) were score based.

-A players ability to use different kits, gear, build was judged mostly on how much they could consistently top the score board with said kit, build, gear etc...

The score board became the superior determining factor in judging a players abilities and comparing them to other players.

All if not most of us are guilty of this tbh. Terms like team work was thrown around too loosly to cover up the plain truth... That score mattered more than most people cared to admit lol...

If a match seems unusually difficult despite a good connection, I'll peek at the scoreboard.  If I'm on top by a wide margin, that's a bad sign.

I play for some lulzy fun, people who do care about their score and end up missile spamming the last couple waves ruin the fun in my book.

I really don't care anymore, I never really  did. I don't care if I come last or first (although that feels good I admit) because I'd rather have a nice, smooth, quick, team game and get the creds to waste on the damn store.

I play mostly for fun, especially when using my low N7 level alt (that way I can get away with being scrubby :P) and as long as I feel I'm contributing to the team, I couldn't give a fug about epeen.

On a serious note though, I check the scoreboard every once in a while, out of curiosity.  :)

If I'm playing with try hards (TGI/Carrier, Reegar/AIU or a GT) I don't really look at it, other than making a girlish giggle after wave 11 if I outscored them with a Volus.

Don't really care about score, unless I'm doing challenge points for a crappy gun (M-11 Suppressor, why do you eat ammo faster than a Harrier?).  Generally I find that the I tend to finish 1st or 2nd with PUGs, but playing with friends, it can be anywhere from 4th to the occasional 1st.  I tend to relax a lot more playing with friends, and don't try as hard as I know the rest of the team are generally more capable than me.  With PUGs I often feel that I'm carrying them so, try and get things finished ASAP, so I'll always spawn nuke W8 Collectors if I've got more than 4 rockets.
