That said, I never forget that it's a co-op game... Unlike others XD
If you see me freezing for a split second, that's more likely to be because I forgot what wave is next, since I don't really need to check the board 99% of the time.

I check the scoreboard
The later into the game I'm atop it, the more I worry

Check the scoreboard while you're firing at Banshees and Phantoms. Scoreboard is top priority!!!

I've been checking it a lot lately, to see how well I can score playing the Volus Merc without using my gun at all.

I find out my score at the end of the match. I usually have an idea of what it's going to be before I see it.
It's nice not to get a low score. As for the rest, as much as I may be a tryhard, it isn't because I want a bigger score, it's because I want to try hard.

How many of You here actually care about it? Are all of the BSN people really just tryhards? I played with lots of You, one of my friend kind of sayed it was a bad thing to come back to play, cause all the people seems to care is the scores. I noticed that people here I play with..stops..freezes after every wave..haha to just see where they are in scores. What about just having fun?
No offend to anybody..just a..taught I stoped cheking my scores..in 2013 during the game
..bad habit it was. I do it if im synced...
I check it all the time, though doesn't really matter if top or bottom. I mean, it's nice to do good, but I won't go on a kill spree and ignore the team if not on top. This may also be easy to say because usually on top. Mostly it just depends on the people I'm playing with. Choose people to send FRs to on based on personality, not score.

Score is meaningless to me. Sometimes I manage to top the scoreboard. Other times I'm at the bottom. I don't care either way.

I do still check the score in between waves from time to time, but it is mostly a reflex from when I was just getting into gold, and was using the score as a (poor) tool to judge which players were doing well, so I could check their strategies in-game, and their loadouts in the lobby.
Nowadays I find it useful to help pinpoint new players (especially if I land in a gip) that might profit from a bit of help.
Besides, everyone knows it's not about the score, it's all about that shiny gold grab medal anyway
...and the gold revive medal too, but only against collectors and/or on reactor hazard ![]()

I realized while playing last night that I also check the scoreboard to see what wave it is when I'm down, to determine if I should use gel or not. So that can be pretty frequently, depending on how much I'm sucking on a given night.

This game has a scoreboard? It's a cooperative game, I don't understand the fascination with score. I certainly hope Andromeda leaves a scoreboard out of multiplayer next time around. I feel end of game medals would be enough for a person to judge how well they do if something like that was left in.
I don't mean this in a bad way, but if the score means nothing, or you don't get the fascination w/it... what difference does it make if its in ME:A or not?
It seems like EVERYBODY loves w/the scoreboard. I.e., those that say it means nothing, AND those that say it means everything.

I learned a score-wh*ring trick that actually supports team play, and doesn't involve killing more than your teammates. I stumbled across it by accident while experimenting with new builds on the vanilla characters, and then read the details that explained it in a Cyonan mechanics thread.
Of course, then I discovered the same phenomenon will get you an even higher score if you play a Vorcha Sentinel as a reckless score-hooring beast.
But I have said too much.
They will release the hounds if I'm not careful.

Or maybe actually reward people for doing objectives, or giving zero points for killing stuff in objective waves and extraction. How about giving negative points for those who are out of hacking area? Or if the team wont get full extraction it will be punished? Something to make people work more together... dunno Im drunk ..good nite ![]()

I learned everything I need to know from the Vorcha Sentinel's cone of destruction.
Enemies go in to the cone of destruction.
Enemies don't come out of the cone of destruction.
Even the scoreboard must submit to the Vorcha Sentinels' Cone of Destruction.

The scoreboard should mean nothing but alot of people seem fixated on it, what should mean everything is completing the mission and earning credits. This is why the scoreboard should not be included in the next game. Of course this is presuming the next game's multiplayer will be somewhat similar to ME3's.I don't mean this in a bad way, but if the score means nothing, or you don't get the fascination w/it... what difference does it make if its in ME:A or not?
