I like the Eagle but every time I got a Valkyrie or Spitfire upgrade I just thought to myself "one less time I have to get this thing before I get that other thing I want". Maxing a UR you don't want is actually a good feeling because you never again have to replace the excitement of seeing that gray outline when you open a pack with subsequent disappointment.

I had the same treatment but with the Talon, RNG just wouldn't give one to me. Then towards the end it started giving me Talon upgrades wholesale Oprah style. You get a Talon, you get a Talon, everyone gets a Talon! 

 

RNG works in mysterious ways.

The Saber is always one of the first ultra rares I have received. Fortunate considering that its one of the few UR weapons that I really like and care about getting. All the other best guns (Arc Pistol, Widow, Claymoar) are rares.

Eagle's not bad tho. Put it on the Quarian Marksman and aim for faces. Things get rekt.

Well, not quite, but almost.  It's pretty good.  Accuracy/ROF bonuses turn it into a pretty effective boss and mook killer.

I like the eagle with the barrage kit and yep, RNG is RNG who is a fickle mistress.

My last 7 upgrades were for the collector SMG.

Seriously once I got most of Ultra-rares maxed the only pistols i use are basically the Talon and Acolyte

 

But the Eagle is decent and an easy challenge to grind

And you would get rekt. In all seriousness the aim assist ruins the saber for me, so at least on console I think the Eagle is better. It seems the saber is a completely different beast on PC though

I feel you OP (not in a physical way of course).  My manifest was much further along than that before I even got 1 Wraith.  I still only have 3 and I am only missing less than 40 total UR cards.
