It's time for another Andromeda inspirational track.

I really like this track because it has a strong Vangelis feeling (for the prophane Vangelis is the composer of Blade Runner soundtrack).

I kind of wish we get some tracks like this one. It greatly enhance immersion while exploring. I cannot stress enough how music is important to this game, I dare say that it is as important as the gameplay because It can greatly enhance the story and the narrative experience.

My character would be the dude, who appears in a desperate situation with his rusty ship, playing all kinds of 60/70's rock, saving everyone and unleashes hell.

And also: shady spacebars with country music coming from old jukeboxes!  :D

Maybe something similar as ambient music in a section where Synthetics play a major role.

There's something about raw instruments that i can't get from anywhere else. I'm ok with synths and tecno/house/etc but i prefer this approach if i'm roaming the desert in a Mako

I loved a lot of the tracks in the Trilogy's soundtracks so I'm excited for Andromeda's. With Ghost Riders in the Sky a part of me is kind of hoping that the music has a 'western' vibe to it including sci-fi.

That's precisely what I DON'T want in this game. That would destroy my immersion in a second. I'm charting new planets with high tech equipments and leading important scientific discovery only to get the so called ''westerner'' vibe that remind me I should chase cows and fight indians instead........please NO.

Another random suggestion: It might be good to include Faunts' "M4, Part 1" for a bit of symmetry with the first game of the series ("M4, Part 2" was the end credits song for ME1).

I guess you could say it's like following the George Lucas poetry method, but then again, that doesn't make it sound like a great idea, so forget I said that.

I stand with those who feel Uncharted Worlds is a must-have. I may have played little of Mass Effect, but that track is a constant. It must remain.

Don't have much say in general, but I don't want a major western focus, as I'm worried might happen based on the "Ghost Riders in the Sky" tease. Just not my forte.

Not this exact song but I wouldn't mind some acoustic stuff for the "frontier". We're building a new civilization.

Landing on an uncharted planet.

Or this;

You know, something peaceful to appreciate the beauty of a planet never before seen or explored.

Thumbs down for this one.

All you folks who say synth is awful and want more orchestral tracks instead are a bunch of shallow mortherf-ckers.

Orchestra music is overrated. From all 3 Mass Effect games, ME2 had by far the most dull and least inspired music. ME1 had the best soundtrack but ME3's soundtrack was pretty awesome as well. ME2's soundtrack? Meh, aside from the suicide mission I can't remember any song in that game particularly standing out.

I want more music like this in Mass Effect:

https://www.youtube....h?v=RiXioWKF5ig

Oh and another more recent sci-fi movie that the composers of Mass Effect should take inspiration from:

https://www.youtube....h?v=m3zvVGJrTP8

Hating on the ME2 soundtrack? And a Horrible Hans fanboy? No surprise there.

Of all things, you ought to like the ME2 soundtrack considering how similar the Grunt recruitment mission's music is to Vangelis's closing credits music for Blade Runner.

Uh, and orchestral music overrated? Perhaps that of film scores over the last 15 years, maybe, since everyone overproduces the crap out of it like Hans does. The only one who still produces excellent orchestral music consistently is John Williams, mostly because he's so famous his reputation forces boneheaded producers to leave him alone. I don't have a problem with well-executed synthetic music (look at what Jerry Goldsmith could do with it, for example), but it's the height of folly to say four hundred years of European composers and their film-scoring descendants are "overrated," when Williams, Goldsmith, Poledouris, Elfman, Silvestri, Morricone, Barry, Bernstein, Newman, and their legacies disagree vociferously with you.

And if you had to look any of those names up, begone from this thread and never speak of this again.
