Bizarre oversight here. I was trying to complete the N7: cerbarus attack side mission on Tuchanka as an adept carrying only an acolyte to keep the weight down and the charge fast, when I got to the section whereby you have to shoot open a couple of panels the mission breaks. The acolyte round bounce off the panels and none of the powers from my adept, Liara or Javik work either. Shame I can't just ask one of them to shoot them open. Good job this was just on the short side mission, there are much longer missions that would have tripped me up on this kind of scenario had I not known.

It is possible, though quite hard. Check this video. RedCaesar does manage to open the latch in the end

I imagine the Sanctuary mission would have the same problem.

It'll probably be even worse due to the large open spaces on the platform.

Does this apply to the Falcon as well? I seem to remember the Falcon having bouncing projectiles. (I despised the Falcon and didn't use it after one MP match with it.)

Scorpion: Sticks to the lock, then destroys it when it explodes.

 

Venom single shot: Destroys the lock on contact.

Venom charged shot: Explosion can destroy the lock.

 

Falcon: Bounces off the lock. Need to deflect the shot so it bounces near the lock so the explosion will destroy the lock. The grenade has a shorter timer than the Acolyte, and it is not nearly as bouncy as the Acolyte so it is much easier to destroy the lock.

 

Krysae: Destroys the lock on contact.

Just take a lightweight SMG with ultralight materials. It is very possible to have two weapons and anywhere between 150 - 200% depending on the specific combination.
