The logical next step after soloing with the Krogan Soldier is to solo with the Volus right? Honestly this was much easier than I thought it would be. Staggering the Geth with proxy mine is pretty satisfying. I basically just held the main room, put a recon mine in the middle, and spammed proxy mine to debuff already debuffed enemies. Worked pretty well. I really only detonated recon mine when I had to displace, which because of Geth speed wasn't that often. If it were Cerberus, I probably would have detonated a lot more often. 

 

For those who watch the whole video, you'll notice I fat finger 3 ops packs instead of shield boost (shield boost is on E, ops packs is on 3). And I tried to ops packs but shield boosted (while on cooldown) that led to a couple deaths. Also my mouse went herpederp on wave 9. But them be the breaks.

 

Scrubby, fat fingers aside, let me know what you think about the build and video.

You get a like for playing a Volus. Don't see why you need to go recharge speed in Recon, Proxy and Shield boost though? Given the weight of the arc pistol I think you would be better off going damage, damage and regeneration in the respective powers.

Because it's the only Volus that doesn't have cool down bonuses from orbs or "look over there" powers and recon mine has a pretty long recharge. Plus I may not always use arc pistol. I love recharge bonuses on this guy. And how I play him I don't need a ton of power damage.

You asked our oppinions on your build OP, so i'm giving you my oppinion based on the build/loadout your using for youre solo. According to Kalence going damage on recon mine will add about 1 second extra but it will also increase the damage you do significantly. The recharge speed reduction is minimal for proxy mine and shield boost if you go for recharge speed (just use the character builder to compare). Obviously depending on the weapon you use recharge speed may be a better option but with this build/loadout I think going damage would be better and would have been more beneficial in your solo

I know and I really enjoy hearing everyone's opinions. But I responded by saying I don't detonate recon mine enough for the damage to be worth it. Shield boost benefits are meh. I agree recharge on PM May not be needed.
