Hey there guys, I'm brand new to this building stuff; I'm mainly trying to attempt to make a dungeon for a server I've been playing on, and try to help out a little with the development of it.

 

I found this tutorial: Around 3:28 on the video, it goes to 'View' and it has 'Challenge Ratings' in the drop-down menu. However mine does not. I have the plug ins that the tutorial reccommended, and no other changes. Am I missing something?

 

Also, if I am trying to make an Underdark-dungeon, would I use an Exterior or Interior area?

I don't recognize the drop down but other might.

 

Underdark caves can be done as an exterior with a black skydome, but if you look for RJShaes tile sets on the new vault you will fond lots of good stuff there for underdark themed areas. Tiles are a lot easier if your new to this.

I don't know why you don't have it, but I can tell you I never used that method . You can view the CR at the creature you are creating and change it there. Create a creature, and under properties, it also has a CR which you can change.

 

For an underdark dungeon I would use an exterior, perhaps with the cave roofs used as well.

Edit: I agree with PJ that tiles are easier to work with. Exterior will look better if you are up for the task though . Perhaps a mixed thing?

yup, the challenge rating editor comes with grinning fool's cc wizard. it's a neat little tool to edit the cr level of all the custom created blueprints.
