I suggest that you no longer include the leaderboards as some of the new top players are cheating and have found a glitch. They do not deserve the right to have their names on the top of the boards and have not earned it.

I can't believe anyone cares this much about the leaderboard. I also have no idea why anyone would care to sort out who leeched, glitched, or just grinded to their spot on the leaderboard. Does it really make any difference?

If some one put 1,600 to 2,500 hours in DAMP since the game came out, they need some accomplishment to justify their addiction.
Fair enough. What's an e-Peen if you can't show it off? I'm the kinda guy who thinks his e-Peen is nifty, and doesn't really care if the next guy got his through "surgical augmentation." If anything, I'd just feel sorry for the guy, and then go back to growing that thing that shows I spent a lot of time doing something.

It takes me several weeks to get 50 prestige points, and individuals are getting them in less than two days. I don't care what spot I am on the leaderboards, or anyone else for that matter, but I do care if DAMP turns into another exploited game where time invested honestly means nothing.

Never gonna happen in this game because its a bioware game. Its so ridiculously easy to cheat its unreal. As ive said before in other threads, im surprised its not more widespread.
Maybe Bioware may do something about it, who knows? I wouldn't speak for them, even if, based on past experiences, we might predict the likelihood of things being addressed.
Nevertheless, I am one of those players who care about the Leaderboards (for obvious reasons) and I try my best to remain positive.
The real answer to all of this would be to eliminate the bonus you receive for promotions, people are farming them like they're popping skittles in their mouth because there's a reason to do it. Eliminate the reason and all that's left is a board for the people that want to wave their e-dong in the air but it still wouldn't make them effectively better at the game.
I preferred the method of ME3MP where your score next to your name was strictly for e-peen stroking as well as a supposed increase in your percentage rate for rarer items. The problem with doing that in DAMP would be that you would have a massive imbalance in power between the player and the AI you're fighting, mostly because weapons and armor don't have a proper statistic budget because of the current promotion structure. In ME, they gained tactical awareness at higher difficulties, increased HP and other things but you had a far superior list of weapons and attachments to choose from, plus you could increase the number of items you could carry into a given round after a time.
The only way to make up for the lack of statistical gains from promotions would be to restore the crafting system to the same state as SP and that would probably go over as well as an iron blimp trying to make its way beyond the world's largest magnet museum. Side Note: Crafting in MP would be nice if it were also extended to Armor Upgrades in the future, not necessarily bringing the whole system in but that bit would be swell.

I am 67 years old and my son gave me challenge to be #1 on Dragon Age the game of the year. I am retired and I do what I enjoy doing = playing games with friends and meeting new people to play with. I would never cheat or use a glitch to be #1. So those numbers do mean something for me and with others that choose to play the game fairly and be at the top.
Maybe I am just old fashioned and would like things fair and equal. It just seems that a large portion of people have no problem cheating to get to the top.
The numbers are supposed to mean something (dedication - effort etc.) but they mean nothing if some of the top players of the list are cheating.
If they do mean nothing lets see you get to number #1 and then say they dont mean anything. I bet you would never take the time or have the dedication to ever make it to #!

are you saying you're cheating? I never saw anyone mention you by name. I've only seen people mention top 20 of the leaderboard (or something like that -- that means it could be any one of 19 other people). That doesn't necessarily mean you, you know. Why are you taking this so personally?
To the greater point and discussion, I agree. If there is no integrity to the system, the system should come down. It's not personally meaningful -- I'll never be on it. But if it's supposed to stand for something, then let it stand for something. If it's tainted, purge it or pull it down.

no i was mentioned by name in another thread by people in this thread,.... so yeah... and theres alot of drama thats been going on on xbox one since the new patch... so yeah stuff is directed at me I know that from the outside looking in it looks funny but from inside out its pretty cut and dry, and I am just fed up with the slander by jealous people... while there are exploits and glitches on the xbox one that crop up, there is no blatant cheating or manipulation of code on xbox one.... every thing thats wrong can be fixed by developers...
okay , maybe it was 5 month and 29 days but, he never been leech, never cheated, and still has huge fun, club. he is true champ on xbox one, and guess what, he quit and plays sometimes but everyone is happy to play with him,cuz they RESPECT him. right now manyy ppl from top leaderboard should learn from him how to be true number one, witch means also beeeing nice and respecting gaming rules, not using gliches and playing with friens(not just leeching from them) i wish he never quit, i wish he was with us all the time, so maybe those tho cheat and leech all the time would learn from him that there are nicer ways, respectfull for everyone. Whatever we got right now on the top is not ever 1% of whatever Silver was.
