It'd be like having Loghain, Nathaniel, and Carver in one group, and wandering the Oasis looking for shards.
edit: Actually, replace Carver with Warden Bethany
You what brightens Bethany's day?
Sebastian, just have him there for eye candy

Well, Anders are known to be very pious and have a big statue of Andraste, so adding Sebastian in that group isn't far-fetched at all.

Yeah but apparently it's in the middle of nowhere and hard to reach.
I know, Castile and Aragon always steal the spotlight from the Basque Kingdom
Ofc we know his name, your majesty king Wilhelm Augustin.Book vs in game is not exactly equal. We know way more npcs from nevarra then anderfels. We know who is the ruler of nevarra on a first and last name base. All we know is the first warden has more power then the ruler of anderfels. Reading a book about a place vs talking to various people about there experience about a place 1st is two different things.

And his son is your highness prince Baldewin Augustin.

Interesting. So the king of the Anderfels only has one son, a very young child... Who knows what may happen if he got sick, or there was an accident. Who could provide stabilty to the Anderfels in that dire situation? All for the good of the country, of course.
Orlais.
It was a province of theirs upon a time
That was 800 years ago. Neither Orlais nor the Anderfels are interested in resuming such an arrangement.

I'm sure they'd have some sort of plan implemented, seeing as such an unstable situation is present in pretty much every single monarchy in thedas.
Orlais? Celene/Gaspard both childless and last members of their dynasty
Ferelden? Alistair/Anora/Cailan All Childless and last members of their dynasty. Maric was an only child just like his mother
Nevarra? King is Childless just like his heir
Kirkwall? Dumar has only 1 child
Antiva? Well idk about now but during the 4th blight the King and Queen were Childless
Anderfels as you've mentioned: King only has 1 extremely young child
Do these morons not realise they're running Feudal governments?
Seems the writers think this stupidity is normal or something? I mean why else is it so commonplace? Its to the point where its just beyond ridiculous

They obviously don't care about "legacy", like Tywin Lannister. These nobles are just winging it.
Alistair killed the heir of Antiva throne (Isabela actually did it, but she is not the monarchy of a kingdom), I imagine Antiva would go to war if they found out.I'm sure they'd have some sort of plan implemented, seeing as such an unstable situation is present in pretty much every single monarchy in thedas.

Sadly, it is pretty normal in our world too
(and that list is too short).
After all, even having enough heirs doesn't avoid a succession crisis. Remember what happened in Orzammar? Having too many children can be as dangerous as having too few.
And?
I can vocalize sentiment too.
I don't apologize that isn't city elf freedom or opening the doors to Qunari either.
So take your preconceived notions elsewhere if its merely dismissal.
what?
what?
I have to say that Neverra is one of the more interesting nations in Thedas with their relationship to magic, military power, that Magic College
Neverra is probably the most open about magic and mages outside of the Tevinter from what I've seen.

Well, it IS the Age of Dragon, an age of violence and upheaval. If every monarchy had an guaranteed heir apparent, there wouldn't be many succession crisises and civil wars for us players to possibly participate in and exploit for our own entertainment.
On the other hand, it seems that the human monarchies don't seem to treat the lack of heirs seriously enough. There doesn't even seem to be any royal bastards around to count on as a spare.

And yet the Mage-Templar War doesn't involve them much.
EDIT: Except for a single war table mission.

It doesn't involve much of anything really.

In all honesty I think instead of dealing with the Mage-Templar War in Fereldan you were neither of there main bases are Hush and Champions missions should have taken place in Cumberland's College of Magi for the mages and The White Spire in Val Royeaux for the Templars. And if you decided to ally with them we should be able to visit those places whenever. There was to much depending on nostalgia for my taste, I am sure new would have been preferred over revisited. A trip to the White Spire would have helped Val Royeaux from being the most disappointing city in the history of dragon age and considering what was going on in Nevarra with there king they could have kept the concept of the Hush mission only made it relate to Nevarra story.

^^^This.
Even though I could understand the rebel mages taking up residence in Redcliffe, I was so sick of Ferelden. I thought Nevarra and Cumberland might've been the place to go to due to its apparent importance to mages. And I couldn't understand why the Templars dragged themselves all the way to some fortress called Therinfal Redoubt in the easternmost parts of Ferelden, apparently going way past Redcliffe.

Going to Therinfal was a part of Envy and Samson's plan for corrupting the Templars.

That makes sense within the context of this particular story.
But Cory, Envy.. it already went wrong with having this stuff to begin with.
That is, if you were actually going to tell a real Mage/Templar story, then you wouldn't have Cory at all. All he does is end that and let Bioware rely on the Whiteboard of Epic Storyline Formulas. I bet they have powerpoint meetings discussing this ****. Everyone has to unite against a bigger bad. "War" is apparently too boring of a story to tell.
