I want a Batarian soldier/vanguard that has the whole silent intensity thing going on... when he does pitch in its short, to the point and very motivating.
Bray (any Batarians) in Andromeda. Thoughts?

Bump for the Batarians.
A Batarian Biotic Sniper would be pretty cool, too. Four eyes means improved aiming.

I kind of want a batarian engineer squadmate though honestly I'm not all that picky on what classes my squadmates are. I just think an engineer would be interesting. Yeah might have a touch to do with Garrus mentioning he had a batarian as his tech expert but not much.

I would never ask BW to extinct any species. Be careful what you ask for. A lot of species can be extinct, even fan favorites. Since BW doesn't want to canonize anything I say the Batarians will be in ME:A, with a whole new outlook. The war changed a lot of species and uncommon friendships were made.

Or they could just canonize
that the numbers of surviving batarians were too few to mantain a population and since they had literally no clout with any other species or the power to make threats, they weren't granted any colony rights. Eventually, they devolved to wandering the galaxy as the quarians but with much fewer ships and people. The Eezo ran out and they all died.
And there was much rejoicing.
They killed Shepard's parents.

They can canonize a lot of extinctions! How about the other potentially extinct races?
Not my Shepard's parents. Those bastards abandoned my Shep.

S/He had information on the effects of reaper indoctrination. Sharing this with the Batarians (You know, in the spirit of the whole " we need everyone" thing) might have prevented the fall of Khar'shan.
Shepard's actions slaughtered thousands of Batarians. Their inaction slaughtered millions.
And something tells me the writers had the Hegemony destroyed so that Shepard wouldn't have to come crawling to the Batarians, begging for their help like he did every other race.

You know what other races could canonically be extinct, or on their way there? Krogan, Rachni, Quarians, and Geth. All the races that don't serve the council, in other words.
I want to see an anti-council made up of the races that the council snubbed. And it would be glorious.

Although, to be fair, this was before the Inferno grenade buff or knowledge about ballistic blades.
I mean, if the Alliance had known about that, I'm sure they would've signed any treaty the Hegemony had asked for.

Hah, as if the four-eyes would have listened to what a human had to say, especially when the prospect of claiming glory through studying reaper tech seemed within their grasp.
As for the thousands killed on Aratoht, it's a small price to pay to stave off total annihilation.

And the end does not justify the means. Shepard killed thousands of innocent civilians without batting an eye. Where were their voices in Shepard's dream sequence?

Billions, we can hope.
Regardless, the batarians would not listen to a human in a million years. First, they wouldn't believe him, they'd just claim it's a trick for them to give up their superweapon that will totally win the war against the humans (ah). Add to that the fact they would never admit a human was right and there is no chance they'd act upon it.

They were probably being drowned out by the voices of Mindoir, Elysium and Terra Nova.
