There are plenty of Batarians we meet or hear about in the Terminus who aren't affiliated with the various criminal organizations.

to be fair though it's more tha tthe rest of the galaxy dosen't really think highly of them that I don't think they'll be included. Luike I said though Bioware might surprise us but I wouldn't neccessarily count on it.

Never would've thought so many people see batarians as sexy. Interesting.

They don't. It's just one up-manship.

According to everything I have seen and heard in this universe, when it comes to who should be attracted to who, humans should think batarians are among the sexiest species.

-They share the same body shape

-Have a similar head shape as humans (no fringe)

-Have 5 fingers and toes on each hand and foot, respectively

-Can and do have sex with humans without unintentionally harming them with skin venom,  claws and carapace, or heft (so safer than drell, turians, or krogan, respectively)

-Share same amino acid configuration and can eat the same foods as us

-Male/Female options so everyone can have some fun

The only Batarian-Human relationships I know so far are gang rapes.

Superficially speaking though, I don't see what's sexy. They look like they're based on Spider faces. But then again, that's kind of par for the course. The whole alien sex fanbase is always trying too hard.

I'm human and I have eyes. Batarians are cool friends when they're not trying to kill you but a roll in the hay with a batarian woman, I find the Asari or human woman a little more enticing. Turian women are cool. Don't get me started on Krogan women.

You should see some of the turian-human fanfiction on ao3. Apparently, some fangirls are into it.

Edit:

There is a batarian paradisiacal brothel/resort on Camala where only the richest batarians can enter. Human female sex slaves are kept there and are expensive. Customers that attempt to harm them meet their ends at the hands of a krogan bouncer (from the Revelation novel). I wonder if any batarian clients went all Septimus Oraka on one of the human consorts.

Even then I'd have to disagree at least partially. The opinion will change do to some Batarians helping out the war effort, like the ones in the MP.

I think they should bring all races along to Andromeda. After that if they don't want them later they can easily write them out, but writing them in after already establishing the setting is a lot more tricky.

To be fair, we haven't seen a female Batarian yet so you may change your opinion.

Don't forget the voice. I'm convinced that female batarians sound just like the males.

Wouldn't mind to see them at least in MP - the Batguard is currently one of my favourite characters in ME3MP.

He used to be my favorite, too. Charge... Punch! It gets a bit boring after a while, though.

Yes...I really want Batarians in Andromeda...but not the kind of as*holes Batarians...only like Bray.

Bray was the best Batarian ever...I wish a Bray like in my squad no doubt.

Draw 4 eyes on a pair of dark testicles and there you have your Batarian romance.

I'm gonna reply to this seriously because I think it deserves a serious answer.

I do think it's about time we have a batarian companion. The narrative has built them up to be an entire race of murderers, rapists, and slavers and for a game like Mass Effect, that has dealt with the grey shades of morality in so many ways, and even showed that there was more to the geth than simply being 'rogue AI,' it feels like a massive drop in writing quality. It's also uncomfortable to see an entire race, fictional or not, reduced to being a token villain.

We were told there was moderate and 'good' batarians, but we weren't really able to interact with them. Garrus didn't even share too much about the batarian who was on his team, apart from a very basic overview. It makes the race feel incredibly lacking compared to the others and I think that needs to change. No single race in Mass Effect should be a throw away detail. I feel the same way about the Vorcha.

As for romance option? Well, personally, who my characters romance depends on the other characters' story and personality. So, I wouldn't knock it. =P

As interesting as this thought is and as much as I would like to see it, IF the ARK leaves prior to the Reaper invasion, then the likelihood of any serious Batarian presence would be very small. They don't exactly cooperate with the rest of the races and wouldn't trust any overtures made.
