Stupid question: how do you start a new manifest on PC? Do you need to make another Origin account and purchase a second copy of the game or something?

Exactly that, yes. Check your local game store, they might have it on the sale rack for $3 or thereabouts, and Origin has it on sale for $5 semi-regularly, it's at $10 right now. It's pretty cheap entertainment at any of those prices though.

First three kits have git out of fail free cards that allows them to restore shields without waiting for power cooldowns. Puggernaut is also sync immune.

I think WiiU & PS3 is the only place where you can start unlimited free alt accounts... just don't ask me how I know this...

When I get a PUG that I can be almost 100% certain will suck, this is the setup I use. I once did a glorified solo on FB Ghost against Reapers or Collectors (can't remember which) and the GI with Piranha got me all the way to Wave 11. ...I was the only one who didn't extract, somehow.
