It reminds me of my DA2 mage character. You could use your magic in cinematic dialog at certain points, quests. That's true i kinda miss that element...it made it more immersive etc.I don't know if the warrior had a simular option. Also there aren't any interesting sidequest or activities besides some of the companion quests. It is shame really.only dragon age game I never bothered to complete, the side quests kill the fun and the fact there's no life to the environments adds to the boredom of trying to trudge through it
also I have problems with the mage character in cut scenes, some noble flinging fireballs at me why not retaliate, I cant use magic in cut scenes which breaks the immersion, he goes for the sword during the fight with cory, even the dualist at bastians estate, my inquisitor couldn't do anything, just stood there full retard until viv steps in

why be a mage when your character acts like a warrior for the most part, I have no qualms about multiple races, but I preferred hawke even his 5 min cameo was more epic then anything my quizzy had done
character needs a backstory and emotional ties, if your dalish clan gets wiped out, absolutely no emotion from your character whatsoever, its like 'hey ho s*** happens'
