Possibly last Inquisitor, and can't decide

At this point, I've finished the game way more times than my husband would like, and I'm thinking that the next Inquisitor I start may wind up being my last. So, I'm trying to choose between 5 inquisitors. I'm looking for help in making up my mind.

  • Elven mage who supports mages and romances Cullen. I've done the Cullen romance with a human and loved it. I like humans best, probably, but most of my Inquisitors have been human.
  • Qunari DW rogue who disbands the templars and romances Dorian. I've done the Dorian romance before, but it was always with a human, and I've never disbanded the templars before.
  • Dwarven DW rogue who supports mages and romances Blackwall. This is pretty much a redo of my first Inquisitor where I missed tons of stuff because I didn't know it was there.
  • Human DW rogue who supports mages and romances Dorian. This is only a slight variation on a former playthrough, so it isn't the highest priority.
  • Qunari mage who conscripts the mages and romances Sera. I've never romanced Sera, but my desire to do so is low (I adore Sera as a friend, but I'm not really romantically interested in her myself, so it's a lot harder to get into it).

Elves are my fav + I always go with the less popular romance pairings, so I vote for Elf+Cullen.

I've become quite attached to my spitfire of a dwarf, Mace Cadash (current avatar). She is also a DW Rogue, like you are considering. The only big difference seems to just be the LI (Mace ended up romancing Bull...their personalities just "fit". ;) ).

Elves are always fun to play, due to the amount of lore, so that could be a fun choice. (I admit though, I am a Solas junkie, so don't mind me. Especially since you are considering the Cullen route.....much safer. )

But who knows; with the so-called DLC Survey "leak", maybe it would be an opportune time to run a Qunari!

Wow. I don't think this post was helpful at all. :pinched:

Sorry. lol!

I always go with Humans, because it seems to make more sense given the context. I always romance Cullen. But there is so much Elven lore in this game, that my next game I will play an Elf,. I will romance Solas, although it will kill me to miss out on Cullen.

Hey, at this point, I'm considering all of the above, so everything is helpful.

I've got a qunari inquisitor who finished the game (romancing Cassandra), so that's covered. I've done the Solas romance, but while I like Solas as a character, the romance wasn't for me. Cullen's, on the other hand, was amazing, and left me with all the feels. I really liked the hugs. Blackwall's and Dorian's both worked for me, too.

Hmm... I wonder if I can possibly play all three side by side, alternating between them, or if I'll keep forgetting where I left off...

 This is what I always do! And yes...occasionally one can sort of forget where one is at, when switching characters. I try and write things down, to help negate that problem. Usually works....mostly.

I'm going to suggest three, since ummm....YES. Three.

Just so I got this right, you have yet to romance Sera, IB and Josie, correct? (BTW, not a judgement, just a curiousity. ;) )

It's true that I've never romanced Sera, but I've definitely romanced IB (with a male elven archer) and Josie (with a male human W/S warrior). I liked both, and Josie is among my favorite romances, but I prefer romancing her with a human male, and I've completed 4 playthroughs with human males, so I've got that covered. My Josie romancer and Krem could have been brothers, they looked so much alike.

I totally get what you mean about Sera. I love her as a friend but sometimes I want to reach through my screen and smack her...not good in a relationship! I personally always vote for Elves because I'm obsessed with the lore and history behind Elves and they get really awesome dialogue in the game too.

Also a Mage with Cullen would be very interesting because of his background as a Templar.

I've never romanced Cullen or played as a Mage and I'm playing a human Mage now and got my eyes set on Curly so we'll see how that goes, lol. I'd say my second vote is for the Qunari mage (but maybe don't romance Sera if you're not feeling it? idk) who conscripts the Mages because that sounds really interesting!

I'm biased, but I'd say a qunari mage who conscripts the mages and romances Sera, because that's exactly what I did. Her romance is worth it. It's lovely.

Second choice would be your dorf / Blackwall replay. :P

I vote for the Qunari romancing Dorian, because that's what I'm thinking of doing as well :P
