How many alts is this? 14? 15? I assume we can look forward to another, shortly. Along with more complaints about how unfair it is that you keep getting banned, I'm sure.

It was only a Matter of Time until this Thread pops up, really. I wouldn't care in any Way, really, as long as I can avoid the Topic of Transgender and that Jazz alltogether. I'm not playing BioWare Games to discuss these Issues inGame, I want to experience the actual Story.

I would prefer the proponents of this idea got their satisfaction elsewhere.

You're working too hard, bosh'tet.

-----------------
In all seriousness I don't give a rat's ass one way or the other, I'm here for a good story. If all the character talks about is them being transgender I'm going to throw them out the airlock because there's more to one's character than just one. Goddamn. Thing. Tell me you like painting, or that you prefer shotguns to sniper rifles, but if every conversation devolves into, 'I was a wo/man, wanna bang?' then it's out the airlock.

It would be interesting to see how Bio would address a Trans relationship in a Sci-Fi setting.
To write it in a way that it would be in lines with our current society or would they take some liberties & write what they imagine a Sci-Fi trans character to be like?
Although I do not think a trans romance option will be included. Don't give a diddly about ME:A

As a non-squad crew member alternate option like Steve sure, but nothing more. Preferably some-one who is just a friendly alternate voice to have around and that's as far as it goes for most of us.

I approve, but like people said here, only if the character has more to offer than just this. I'm the first o advocate about representativity and all, but if the character being trans the only thing that's to see about him/her, then it just feels forced and one-sided, like theres no reason for him/her to be there other than to fill a quota. Give the character a diverse and interesting backstory that fits with the overall theme, give subtle hints about that along the way, and reveal the gender identity only if the player really gets close to him/her, being friends and all. Let the players know the character first and show them he/she is awesome. Then, reveal it.

Yes to transgendered romance options.
Mass Effect being set in the 'future', I could imagine it not being a significant enough characteristic that you would only find out about people who are transgendered through random conversations. For example, the PC says 'peeing standing up is awesome' and your li says 'yeah I remember when I could do that'. Otherwise, a transgendered person should not be an issue.

I would prefer Bioware stay very far away from whatever the current 'cause-du-jour' is in the real world political arena. They make these kinds of remarks, comments, and statements all the time in prime-time drama TV shows... and every time I think less of the show and its producers for doing it.
People want escapism from the real world here... not sneaking it into every form of media they can find.

like 0.1% of the people who play Mass Effect are transgender. Also, what is the point of them? Only thing we get is that drama ****. Same like same sex romances.

I doubt we see trans squadmate or romance option in ME:A, but I wouldn't be against it.
