The head writer of Inquisition said he felt the "inclusiveness" of Inquisition's romances got out of hand and became a constraint on creativity and resources. A lot of people who can't see the forest for the trees complained about the lack of romance equality. That's BS. There were 2 gay romance options, 2 bi romance options and 3 straight romance options(but one is only for female elves). Demanding more "equality" than that is just selfish entitlement.
David said this? huh. Although I gotta say the race gating probably did not help matters.
I mean, I understand what they were working to do, and thought it was a worthy goal. But the logistics of it all. My God. And they had 4 races, too.
Although, I'm a fan of playersexual LI's. Playersexual and have it dependent on whether, or not, you get along. It's not authentic representation, but Idk if they can really do it all justice with the limited resources and limited companions that you may have.
edit: and perhaps they could have representation with npc's that are not LI's, but are in the world at large. I mean, somebody's gotta be getting some loving besides my PC, right?
