I've a noob question.

I had devices on Wave 10 Reapers White. One device appears in the midde of the map, downstairs at the Ammo Box.

How can I kite these Banshees far away, so that they can't reach me before device is done?

I've tried to kite them clockwise, back so south east corner in the landing zone, but this wasn't a good decision.

And those stupid Marodeurs keep camping at the device.

So any tips ?

If you're with a team, nuke 'em.

Rage quit.  Let your team figure it out...

Quit. New game. Get Escorts or Pizza - Profit

Or:

Hack the game and remove objectives - Profit

Then get banned by Biower from this game and ME:A :P

I was in a team, ... but it turns into a solo, because of the Banshee Love Hugs

Kiting them at the LZ, going at the end of the map and then sprinting to the device seems a possible solution. But sometimes it's just impossible, whatever your strategy.

You can also try to force the Banshees doing a tour at the balcony.

Is this the one you can do through the wall from the LZ side?

I would probably try to get everything the walkway at the top of the stairway from the LZ then make a mad dash to device. Should give you plenty of time

Let them get real close to the device, then Tech Armor nuke them and hope, that they will respawn far away enough.

Also this:

hmm,.. don't know. But could be possible. Didn't try, but it's directly on the opposite site of the wall, right beside the box.

that, what I tried. seems to be a combination between bad luck and l2p issue

tried this,... nuked an spawned directly in nearby.

@all

Thanks for the tips, ... I will try the "Rage Quit" method!

Then yes. That is the one. So use space magic if it's close enough to the wall and get it done from the LZ side of the wall. (Just face the icon and if you're close enough it should highlight for you to activate it)

Seriously I think everyone has given you pretty decent advice. You could pull them to the back set of stairs as you kite and damage one enough for her to go ranged mode then sprint to the device and try to disable, possibly can make both go ranged if you have the DPS. If in a team you can dump the banshees on your teammate then make an attempt on the device.

Banshees, while teleporting, seem to follow the path you took even if a shorter path exists from their current point to your current point. In other words if you go from points A to B to C, the Banshee will go from points A to B to C even though she could just go A to C.

You can exploit this to buy time, particularly on White. For example, from the LZ, let the Banshee get somewhat close, then drop down the ladder from the LZ to the double-path with the ammo box on one side. Now run to where the water is dripping down and turn around. Banshee can't use the ladder, so she comes around and down the ramp. She sees you at the corner, probably fires a Warp ball. Run to your left and go inside and up the stairs.

The Banshee *could* cut directly through the building and catch you on the stairs, but instead she will go all the way around to the back *where you were before* and then follow you up the stairs.

Banshee can't use the ladder,

Yeah, true. In theory. In practice, I've been synced when they teleported ahead and were waiting for me at the bottom.

From what I remember they're usually incapable of teleporting to a lower level, and perfectly capable of teleporting to a higher level, if a ladder is in-between.

But since this is quality design, it's completely inconsistent with any logic.

Believing that is what got me synced.  Ladder room on Giant, one Banshee left in the wave, she jumps in through the wall, I sprint and throw myself down the ladder thinking "She can't follow me down the ladder, so at least I have a moment's breathing space!" and as I get to the bottom I hear a breathy "Haaaaaaaaaargh" and feel an arm punch through my liver.

It's happened to me in both Firebases White & Giant.

The only thought I have on this, if all of your teammates are down, is that you've had to kite all the way to the far corner of the map, up the stairs outside the computer room, then haul ass down to the device and pray the Banshee wastes some time walking instead of teleporting. If you have a Drell you should be fast enough, and after all, why wouldn't you have a Drell  :P

Edit: Corrected spelling

Definitely I've seen that Banshee's teleport down the Ladder room on Giant, as well as they teleport Ladder up on the other side, beside the ramp.

I'm quite sure they don't care about up or down, and they don't care about ladders or wall too.

It seems it is more like Cabals Poison Strike. They can teleport a fix distance, and as long as the destination is a 'valid space', they jump. ... and somethimes they make it a valid space, just to fool you.

Not exactly sure which device you're talking about but generally, for banshees, the method is the same style as husks in glacier.

Melee creatures follow your last movement path as long as you are not spotted by other enemies, so lure everyone over to the LZ. The banshees will reach you first followed by either the brutes (most likely) or the ravagers from range. Mauraders will reach you last. Run in a circle around the fighter while looking out for blue lines and sync kill hints. Once as many as you can manage are in the LZ, run up the right hand stairs, down the corridor, left then down the stairs, past the area with benches, left and down the stairs again and towards whatever device it is. If you cannot kill marauders fast, pull your missile launcher out first. If you kill marauders very easily, you can save your missile. Because everyone is following your stupidly around about path, you should have enough time to complete the device.

To note, always note the direction you expect the enemy to come from and make sure you're doing the device with whatever cover you can get for that direction. You'll be glad you spent an extra 2 secs to do that when the ravager/marauder shots hit the cover instead of dropping you and crashing the entire attempt.

Final note, sometimes the game just doesn't like you and wants you to fail. When you get marauders jumping out at you from the back ammo box (at a direction which your cover is worthless) while doing the device and time is down to the last half minute, save your medigel

PS: About the banshee ladder thing, if the banshee is too close to you when you climb up/down the ladder, it will ignore the elevation and teleport to you. Meaning, jump the ladder before the banshee gets too close or it will follow you. For the giant rear ammo box ladder, about inbetween the first and second box from the monster spawn spot will be sufficient (but remember to account for lag)

Banshees have gotten me on both White and Giant when using the ladders.. It doesn't happen all the time, but I think because of teleport distance, lag and good ole space magic, they get to do this, when they are not.

Most times (guessing a high%) they dont., but having been surprised on the other end of a ladder when I thought I was safe has led me to stay away from them when a banshee is in teleport mode.

On White, usually 1 pug will camp the ladder and if I see Banshee teleport along the pathway to come around the ladder I run away, if its a friend standing there, I get my rocket out just in case he gets surprised.

On Giant, almost all the time they will not come down the ladder, but again, if teleport jump distance is close enough, and you dont complete coming down it in time before their teleport gets close enough,  they will, otherwise they just stand there and maybe throw a warp ball at you in frustration and turn around to come after you again.I have seen more and more banshees do this in the past 4 months playing, especially when having full barriers

On a side note, the short ladder to the landing/launch pad by the LZ ammo box area on Condor. I've seen at least 3x an Atlas climb up that short ladder just like we do.

They can teleport down. I know all too well.

The thing with Banshees is they want to follow normal pathing but if you're close to the ladder or a wall etc and they can teleport to you they will. You can kite one around Giant and see this behavior if you're right on the extraction ammo box they will come through the wall if you're right at the bottom of a ladder they will teleport down it. If you have some distance they'll usually follow normal pathing. You can actually influence that as well on walls by providing them LOS aggro.
