Flash forward to this morning....yea the only options available to me now are New Game and Extras.....so I guess your policy is we don't need a save feature, just a feature to sell content to our consumers, I guess that makes sense...
Anyways, this game is being returned today and I expect a full refund, if not I'm going to stop by EA offices and personally drop off this waste of plastic.

You probably didn't have a hard drive or other storage device plugged in to be able to save to.

So I eagerly spent an hour last night ****ing around entering those moronic codes into the website and calling EA support, etc(lots of fun by the way...), then I spent an actually ENTERTAINING 8 hr's playing the game, however I noticed I could not manually save anymore.

I hear being a complete idiot gets you even less far in life. Want a pic of my 120 gb HD attached to my Xbox as well as the menu showing me not being able to save, as well as the free space (68 gb)?
I'm sure you'd still be a dimwitted smart ass even if I did that.

I did try at first, but then I assumed(yes, I know bad idea), that with auto-save on, it was some new Bioware way of saving every few minutes.GreenNinja87 wrote...
Here's a question I already wanted to ask somebody yesterday: How come you people play for 4 - 8 hours STRAIGHT (!) without trying to save your game even once?
I tried turning it on/off and it made no change to the "save" option, at which point I kind of thought..."oh crap".

I don't know what the OP is speaking of. Sorry buddy but I saved manually with no problems. Perhaps you were in a combat scenario or something where you can not save or you were in the wrong menu? I don't have the game in front of me to guide you as to what steps to take to save but I paused and am pretty sure it was right there as an option. I'm thinking this is one of those situations where you are irate right now but if you just check a little more careful your answer is right in front of you. Like when you "lose" your keys then realise they are in your pocket.
That's what I thought at first, but I tried it in various places(ie walking around the Citadel, Omega, etc) and EVERY place no matter what state I was in (combat, casual, whatever) had the Save option(manual) greyed out.
And also, I was signed in because I was chatting with a friend while they were playing it as well. His was saving just fine for him.

Whining will not get you anywhere.
A bit of frustration kicks you off and you run home to mommy?
While you return the game, the rest of us who are actually are capable of patinece and have the ability to solve problems will stay with the game and try to resove its issues.

This has put a pretty serious damper on my opinion of the game unfortunatly. Both myself and my wife were and are huge fans of the seiries but if its possible for 4-8 hours plus to just vanish overnight i dont know if i can even convince myself to keep investing in a game that for all i know tomorrow i could have to start all over.
Please patch this issue for your loyal fans Bio

Wow. You had some buggy behavior and you want to return the game? You're sure that its Bioware deciding that they didn't want you to save your game? You don't think its possible that, you know, it was a glitch? Assuming it was, you do know that the majority of these glitches are actually related to (overheated) hardware? Of course you do. You're an XBox 360 owner and all of us know about that.maladosteo wrote...

More importantly: How could you play through Dragon Age without learning that you should save more than once every eight hours? Can you honestly say that you thought Bioware removed the "Save" feature, despite every UI clue and even the game manual telling you that it was there and how to use it? You're really gonna say that Bioware is the one who was to blame for this?
That's.... really interesting.

I'm not happy about it either because I'm not going to pay for something I was promised with my pre-order. I still can't get any of it to work and I'm back on the phone and on chat and still have yet to get a person or an answer.
