Pull what weight Rubicon?!?!? This is an issue that no matter how much we "pull...weight", EA/Bioware has to fix this issue on their end. Do you understand how networking and servers work?

Chill..
You obiviously did not understand what I was trying to get across.
You are acting like you are the only ones with this problem. What I am proposing is to try to work this problem out WITH Bioware and EA. Instead of trying to fill the forums, try to CALL them and work something out. Better yet, after calling them and getting an answer, POST the answer here so everyone else can see.

I guess maladosteo must be new to this RPG stuff. Rule#1 since playing Wizardry years ago: Save your game manually very often.

You access the Save option when you hit the Start button during game play. The Save option is on the bottom left of the menu. If you you select it and hit A, you can start a new save or overwrite existing. What about starting some kind of game and try Loading a save game?

yes, obviously I've never played a video game in my life....
Anyways, I went and created a new character(did not IMPORT my ME1 guy again), this character once again would NOT allow you to save.
2nd character(which I tried importing my ME1 again) did work. I'm happy its working now, but this is the 3rd character..and I still have to replay roughly 8hrs of the game. Oh well
The moral of the story is: don't take it for granted when the game says its auto-saving(which it kept coming up with periodically). Double check to make sure its creating a saved game file, if not then you're SOL and you should just re-start.

Well I just downloaded that patch this AM and tried with a new character, that one still didnt work so I tried re-importing my ME1 guy again, that one did work.Peck8541 wrote...
They did put out a patch this morning which might have fixed that error for you? I know I was playing yesterday morning, with an imported character, and I could save the entire time so I'm not quite sure what the problem could have been, maladosteo.
Who knows what the issue is, but there is for sure still a glitch after the patch. Hopefully it gets fixed soon

I restarted a new game, but this time I skipped the "customize character appareance" part and selected the default Shepard appearance. I don't know if this is what was causing the bug to occur, but the save feature was now working correctly.

Yea I forgot to mention that as well, the time that I got it to work..I used the DEFAULT Shepard appearance. When I tried custom/importing it would NOT allow me to save.Valkendorm wrote...
I had the same problem maladosteo is describing (link). I started a new game, importing my ME1 save. I had the Auto-Save feature on, but the "Save" option was greyed. Before calling it quits, I went in the Load menu to see if there was at least a save, but there was none. Back in the pause menu, the "Save" option was now available. However, choosing this option the only thing showing were placeholders for "characterNameTxt" and "characterTypeTxt".
