Id love to have pet varen. unleash it in battle as an unofficial third companion. have it follow us around and attack when combat starts. but it would have to be immortal and just deal good dps. have a few npc conversations about it. I really liked how DA2 handled the mabari and thats how I think the varen should be handled.

DA:O is much different in that the mabari is actually a full-blown companion that takes up one of the three slots in your party. In DA2, the dog functioned like a sustained ability, but I didn't like it, because activating that ability just has the dog appear out of thin air, much like the ranger's animal summoning ability in Awakening.

Pets in ME:A? Good idea. Another good change would be to create massive online maps which thousands of players can access simultaneously with lots of quests and hubs. Perhaps Bioware can implement a subscription based payment model so that you can level-up just a bit faster than your free to play brethren. I would also love to see a shift towards a more anime style of graphics with big-eyes.

Bioware played dumb here for some reason. After two games fans were all for a varren, so Bioware said "Ok, here's a robot-dog for you!"

I like how they did it in DA2. You had your Mabari that you could summon while also having your companions. They had nice little companion interactions with Dog.

 

And I loved coming back home to see him curled up by the fire. Having dreams of chasing down Fen'Harel....

I want my fish back. I genuinely cared for them. Even flirted with Kelly so I would get her to feed them so they would stop dying.

lol! Me, too....well I flirted with Kelly so that she'd give them back to me in ME3.

 

edit: and it took awhile for me to finally catch Boo in engineering. but i did. otherwise, implications..unpleasant.

I just want my combat drone to roam around my quarters. Liara had Glyph hanging out in there all the time, but Shep couldn't have their little combat drone.

 

Though I wouldn't say no to a cat. Or a non-hamster rodent. More fish! A varren? Or a pyjack? A nug?
