So what's the consensus? Is it better to run izzy with hakkon/Savage thorn + audacity/agony or go for hakkon/ Savage thorn in both hands? Running broadsides obviously. But I also like ambush and sometimes swashbuckle. Looks like after perilous on nm broadsides is effective as insta shredding mobs because enemy HP is much higher.

Thanks!

I want to find that berserk dagger. If I could run that with hakkon's dagger that would be amazing

I personally like Hakkon + Audacity (explooooosions) or new nameless blade (+10% damage per enemy within 8m). Both have dual blade weapon grips with lots of offense leather critical bonus damage. Hakkon is upgraded with T3 Armor Penetration offense metal Dawnstone (enemys have lots of armor on NM and above) + offense leather Craggy skin critical bonus damage.

I like explosions and I like more damage.

I would use 2x Hakkon if I had it though. . . on HB or NM. Since I don't, I prefer Audacity for Perilous and Nameless for NM+

I tried Hakkon dagger with the duelist (paired with Audacity) in Nightmare.. and didn't feel like it was super amazing (unlike Reaver with the hakkon greatsword or archer with the bow).

I guess my question is do you feel the duelist is just as amazing in nightmare as she was in perilous?  I kind of feel the archer with the new bow can dish out more damage.. but it's probably a l2p issue on my part.

I have trialed both Nameless and Audacity with Dragon Dagger on NM/FC
Izzy dishes out constant damage but not a lot of killing blows.
When Audacity goes off (Static Cage lols) it really is spectacular.
Nameless does SEEM to proc more often particularly as there are large mobs on FC.
They are both situational tho, I would personally prefer constant AP, CC and CD but haven't found Neo yet.
In a race between the 2?
Drasca has it right;
Aud on Peri.
NB on NM

Edit: I don't have Hakkon or ST yet nor have I trialled Agony. Chainlightning + Broadsides Weaken could be a very handy combo tho.
Might just try that ;)

I picked up a dagger with berserk.  Can't remember the name of it.  I was going to ask if it would be worth using with Izzy.

2% Avoid killing blow

21%  Flanking damage bonus

Berserk:  50% damage bonus, 50% damage taken

With a superb rune, DPS is 360.

Same here, though I suspect +50% damage taken wouldn't be a great thing on NM. More viable on Isabella than anyone else, for sure thanks to evasive, but I'd bet if you run out of evasive you go down like wet paper with it.

So far I've just experimented with hakkon+thorn and hakkon+audacity. If I had more maxed out stats for defense and didn't need the gaurd I would use hakkon+audacity, which is still great for perlious. For NM however, I still find the guard generation to be useful, and I like being able to go into full stabby poke mode if I need to and not suffer from gimped offhand dmg.

Cancel auto attack animation after the first stab. You can now deal consistent mainhand damage regardless of what you carry in your offhand.

I dunno, that sounds like a lot of work.

Haven't tried this yet... Does this decrease your overall attack speed though? Leading to overall worse DPS?

Not if you get the timing down, it's really fast.

It has the 2% Avoid Killing Blow mechanic as well. The +50% damage is definitely noticeable on Izzy's attacks, but taking 50% additional damage is negligible because of Evasive. It's a toss-up

So how does it calculate the 50% bonus?  Is it to the final damage number?  I need one of the math nerds to tell me.

final_damage = (base_damage * rand(0.95 to 1.05) - armor * (1 - armor_penetration))

* (ability_multiplier)
* (1 + critical_damage_bonus + flanking_bonus)
* (1 + attack_bonus + damage_multiplier + type_bonus)
* (1 - magic_resistance)

The berserk bonus goes there in the damage formula. It is not reflected in the actual DPS of the dagger.

So many variables.  Thanks.
