Nah, man - the dwarves are just smart. They've kept their city in tip-top shape and their numbers decent because they focus on Orzammar and not the surface world. They let the squishy humans, bull-men, and filthy elves throw their numbers at X enemy, let them use their resources and waste their time, all while saving their own.

At the current pace most humans are going to follow qun within few generations, its worse than blight.Humans are the master race/species and will inherit the entire world. The elves will fade away, the dwarves will fall under the weight of their culture, and the Qunari... umm... well, they are not human, so that's their problem.

Korbin and Luka.
As it's been explained numerous times, Dwarves keep their most capable warriors where they need them: In the Deep Roads, fighting back the Darkspawn which constantly and literally knocks on their very doors, all year round. Korbin is a veteran of the Legion of the Dead, and he was sent to the Inquisition as part of the alliance with Orzammar - and he's as badass as they come.

I find amusing that Dwarfs do not fear the darkspawn and all the beasts of the deep roads (old gods included) but they are still afraid of the sky, seriously what's so terrible about the sky?
Also where do they take water for their peoples?

Wouldn't you be terrified to live life eternally underground; never to see the sun again? I assume it's the same unsettling feeling of the all-encompassing unknown.
For water supply, there is underground lakes and rivers - at least visible at numerous locations in DAO.

I don't play multiplayer, never heard of him. So he's a champion? Then why couldn't he be the champion trainer? I mean, I like "IT'S GOOD TO BE CHAMPION!!!
"... But still.
Or Luka? I was just thinking that tempest was the spec that would seem the most fitting for a dwarf trainer, but no... Another human. And a kinda crazy one at that

The problem is that the dwarves are too kick-ass.
If they were allowed to fight in the inquisition, the other soldiers would get all insecure. They do it so the pleb casuals can feel confident because they aren't being shown up by the Dwarf Master Race.

BioWare has THE worst fanbase.
Disagree. I still think that the Twilight fandom maintains that particular title.

I would like more dwarves. But I don't want dwarves for the sake of dwarves. I want dwarves that fit.
Send me to the Deep Roads, or show me some non-smugglers who are awesome. But make it fit, too.

Dwarves don't use bows?... Some dwarves do, especially in DA. Scout Harding, for example.

Traditionally (and in DA) Dwarves are seen as two handed axe wieleders, Or Sword and Shield. Tough front line combatants. Though there is Varric...more to the point. Its a Fantasy Stereotype. ![]()

dwarves can use ranged weapons just fine, they tend to be depicted with crossbows and throwing axes as opposed to longbows

Underground, yes. Surface dwarves however, seem to actually like bows considering how many seem to use them in DAI. I think it's the fact that long ranged weapons don't help much underground, because underground is more enclosed which makes it so you rarely have much of a range advantage even with a bow. After all, is a bow going to do you much good in tunnels and other tight spaces with corners everywhere? But on the surface, ranged weaponry actually has a real tactical advantage. Or at least that's my hypothesis for why surface dwarves use bows so much while underground dwarves use melee weapons almost exclusively.
Do note that I said bows (or crossbows). Obviously automatic crossbows with semi-auto fire are useful no matter where you're using it, underground or above ground a crossbow like that will kick ass. If Bianca's design got out, you'd find underground dwarves using ranged weapons a lot more than they used to. But since it's just bows and regular crossbows, dwarves don't use archery much if they're not on the surface.

Finding a dwarven trainer is quite a tall order; I hear they're short in supply. There just aren't any dwarven warriors on the surface of any stature. And the chance of finding a reputable rogue trainer is quite tiny. On the whole, the surface dwarf population isn't that sizeable. That's because the dwarves of Orzammar think little of their surface brethren.
*groans*
Well played.
