One of the devs mentioned how Turians and Salarians look in the new engine awhile back, I believe. Although maybe he just said Salarians, I forget.
I would say Salarians, Turians, Krogan, and humans are probably confirmed. Krogan and obviously humans, definitely confirmed.
And really, it wouldn't be mass effect without blue space babes and our new player character pulling a Captain Kirk with them every chance he gets soooo...Asari, speculatively confirmed.
A rumored leak of a fan panel at Pax in 2013 also mentioned the fans supposedly being shown Asari, Salarians, and Krogan in the new engine. Assuming that leak is legit, those species would be guaranteed to return.
I personally think that leak is legit because it also mentions two new species, and their descriptions seem to match the Khet and Remnant mentioned in the later leak that revealed Andromeda as the setting.

I'm aware that they are two separate leaks. The point I was making is that they line up.
The fan panel leak mentions two new species and gives descriptions of those two new species. The descriptions given seem to match the Khet and Remnant mentioned in the later leak that revealed Andromeda. I suspect the first leak is legit for that reason.

Asari (I think they are hot, and decades of experience on anything (but "dancing") has its uses)
Rachni (They are capable of living on planets with a hostile environment and are able to use workers to access small spaces, it also impossible for them to rebel against their leade)
I recommend only having one Rachni (the Queen), for atleast the beginning, and bringing a person this Queen is familiar with, like Shepar, Liara, James or the Virmire Survivor. I also suggest having more human females than human males, for purposes I hope I do not need to explain. The majority of the humans (and asari) need to have some kind of combat training (or biotics). Tech proficiency is important as well, for the purpose of not being helpless when something (be that weapon or engine) has ceased functioning. The leader should be a person respected and known by all aforementioned species, so Shepard, Liara and the Virmire Survivor are deserving of recommendation.
