As a new owner of the Vita, I would definitely be interested in some small scale Mass Effect game. However, like all that's been said in this thread, there's really no point in sinking money into a Vita project that ultimately will not sell to recoup the losses. Telltale taking over is an intriguing idea but, I've yet to see a BioWare IP be licensed out to Telltale. Maybe if Tales of Borderlands becomes a huge success that the original Walking Dead Season 1 was.
Mass Effect spin-off for PS Vita

I have a Vita and I like it a lot (Persona 4 Golden being my second favourite game of all time), but to be blunt, that thing is dead outside of Japanese games. It's a pity it was a flop but alas.

They say PS Vita is dying. I'm not saying I agree with this but still.

If they want to make an Ios or androïd game, why not make the same game on PsVita? After all, the console has a screen with digit detection.

There are FAR more phones/tablets in people's hands than PS Vitas. Not even Sony cares about that thing anymore.
Strange argument "Few people own it so we don't need better games for it". Like what about "If there were more good games for it, more people would buy it"?
Coz, actually, that's just it. I play a lot. So I wanted to be able to play in a park or on the train or waiting for the bus etc. I tried playing on my phone and didn't enjoy it. But I never got a portable console (until recently) simply because "Why should I buy one, there are hardly any games for it, except for a few niche Japanese graphic novels, which I am not interested in. If there were more cool games I wouldn't hesitate". Now I did buy one because I found just enough interesting games to justify the expense. And I do enjoy it. Not as much as my home consoles but it's just for completely different use cases. Saying "we don't need portable because we got stationary" really doesn't convince me.

It's dying in the US. It's a damn shame. My vita is an everyday carry. I love that thing, and it's a terrific platform for indies and legacy games. I think I've logged about 100 hours in Terraria alone on the vita.
I just wish I dug JRPGs, because there's apparently so much quality stuff available on that front.
Handhelds like that wouldn't do justice to a game like Mass Effect though. It would have to be a spinoff like Infiltrator, but ideally better than Infiltrator, which was awful.

Noooo thanks... I like to play my games on my big screen TV (especially Mass Effect) than on the too little PSvita screen (that's also why I don't play on smartphones, what can I say, little screens are inconfortables to me).

I used my Vita for Uncharted: Golden Abyss and Netflix. I traded it in for a random game..... didn't feel bad at all.

Well there is Mass Effect: Infiltrator for tablet and some phones. But it did not fully feel like Mass Effect.
Mass Effect 3 didn't, either.

I own a Vita, it's basically a Gravity Rush machine and that's it. It's deader than dead. They even killed of emulation on the thing.

Well, with Infiltrator being pulled within a year, it's obvious another Android/iOS game is coming out. And, if the mobile dev already has the ability to port to the Vita they'll be able to port the game along with the other mobiles. It'll just be a matter of weighing the audience the Vita will draw.

I liked Mass Effect 2 feel the best. 3 was rushed. It could have been so much better. Focus your anger on EA. It's like some crap goes down in the gov and we all blame the prez even if they aren't at fault. Blaming the wrong people.Mass Effect 3 didn't, either.

A lightweight spinoff game would be better off on iPads than a Vita.
I lol'd.

ME2 wasn't rushed but it could have done with a delay to flesh out those interesting side missions.
The game would have been a monster if they'd taken another 6 months.

Oh I know what you meant.
I was saying it wasn't rushed but it could have done with more time anyway and that as good as it was, if it had gotten more time, would have been better.

Because there is no market for it. Handheld gaming isn't particularly big outside of Japan.Mass Effect is on PlayStation 4... well it will be. Why should the Vita be overlooked?

Sony practically ignores the Vita so I wouldn't expect anything, it feels like Japanese developers are really the only ones left developing for it.

I'd say they should dig up the combat system from KoToR and make a ME game with that for use on mobile devices. The vita has been too poorly marketed to be worth a release. Outside of store shelves I haven't seen one out in public in I don't know how long. Many of us interested in an ME release on it would have to purchase one exclusively for the game and most of us still on last gen would rather shell out twice the price for a ps4 or xb1 than a system like the psv.
Mobile devices like ios and android are already in the majority of hands and they can reach more if they release it on the microsoft app store for those with win 8/10
As far as outside phones/tablets the handheld/on the go market is held by nintendo because many gamers, especially those of my generation who have beaten the elite 4 when the current highschoolers weren't even born, would get the current nintendo handheld just for the pokemon games.

Personally, I think the focus should be on the base game, not supplementary filler...
