I love the weapon. Use it on quite a bunch of characters.

I use it on all Quarian kits, because they reduce the hip fire penalty,
and make better mook soup! ![]()

I agree it is a good gun. One thing really stood out to me in that video...How do you have 7 Ops packs & 7 Thermal Clips?
When the game came out, either there wasn't a cap, or the cap was 9, I can't remember which. It was reduced to 6 after a couple of weeks.

A Harrier video would be awesome! It's a skill based gun for sure
Its next after the executioner pistol video so have abit of patience for it. But i agree its a very good weapon, acurate and does alot of damage.

Indra is a mediocre weapon at best, at least for an UR. Javelin, BW, Valiant, Kishock, CSR and Widow are all better sniper rifles. Several scoped SMGs, ARs and pistols also make better sniper rifles.
Indra has a decent DPS which makes it good at taking out groups of mooks from long distance, but that's the only thing it does reasonably well. Its damage output simply doesn't justify being forced into horrible tunnel vision for extended periods of time, when there are so many other weapons that do the same thing but faster and/or safer.
Its the capacity that makes the indra great. It doesnt matter if you miss cause you can just keep on spamming bullets.

Sounds great! Would it be possible in the future to see also a Reegar Carbine video? I'd suggest using it on the Alliance Infiltration Unit with Incindiary ammo to really show off it's potential! Thanks

I'd also like to request a GI Talon video. I don't see people using that setup very often, especially on solo speedruns.

High capacity is a convenience feature, nothing more, and being forgiving in the hands of a sub-par player doesn't make a weapon great.
EDIT: Oh, I forgot one more thing: Indra's supposedly high capacity is, in fact, nothing special - sure, it can fire plenty of bullets, but those bullets deal very little damage. Despite their lower ammo capacity Javelin and BW actually have higher damage capacity (i.e. capacity * damage_per_bullet). Indra certainly benefits from not losing damage due to overkill, but the benefits of its large magazine have been totally overstated. Javelin, BW, Widow et al. can all easily destroy a couple of spawns before having to resupply anyway and there are these convenient ammo crates here and there around the map, you know?

IDK. I can see your point but I disagree. It's a fine mook weapon we agree on that. While it's stats aren't overwhelming the mods you can stack on it make it capable of multihits on bosses which kind of gets around the on paper DPS when you couple it with the weight which makes powers easy to spam with it as well. And it has the weight glitch also. I like running it on the DAI, Huntress, GE, and Turian Sent and have done pretty well on Plat with it. JMO though.

Being able to adjust/correct a scoped bullet hose is an outstanding virtue for us console peasants.
Otherwise if I want pure one-shot brutality, I'd go shorter range with a High Lord. Or if I want longer range, I'd prefer a faster reloading Executioner...without a scope.
I f-ing hate slow-reloading single shot scoped weapons on console. Such an irritating nuisance.

I guess that's its niche then: high ROF, scope, high penetration, priming/warp ammo and all that with minimal weight. Personally I'd ease on some of those requirements and take CSR or Valiant or a (scoped) SMG or AR with Drill/AP ammo or whatever, but maybe that's just me.
Honestly, I've really tried to like it, but I've just never been impressed with what it can do.

Pistol is it? I think you will have to wait abit for that, also the one who was asking for a reegar carbine video will have to wait abit. I dont like those weapons personally, but when i run out of weapons i might do it:)
I have to admit i am not very productive when it comes to making videos. Its alot of work and i have to divide my time on my job, playing games and making videos.

I like the Indra. It's probably the 2nd-best sniper rifle for a non-infiltrator where cooldowns matter (i.e., not the Destroyer). It really should have had no hipfire penalty though. That would have turned it from a decent weapon into a pretty useful weapon.

I mean that Indra has very low damage per bullet. 1 BW shot = 10 Indra shots.

Too bad, cause I like the feel of the gun.
That being said, my videos certainly weren't any better when I started, and maybe they aren't even now, so keep it up! ![]()

Sorry, it's been so long since I used probably 90% of the Gear available. I have forgotten what most of them are.

Yes, but it's just like an AR with a scope on. Why AR fans love it.

I agree, it took alot of time. But i missed alot and performed less than normal. Maybe i shouldnt have put it in the video. But did you see how fast i took down some of the other mobs? Some nemesis and phantoms comes to mind. Keep in mind its a rank 2 wep with no consumables in it.

The Indra is OP enough. Especially with SR tac-cloak dmg bonus. Plus you can add double pierce mods on it (best mods for it) and weight glitch this already very light weapon that is lighter then even the Lancer (so can work even on any power combo focus kits too).
I recall using this weapon a lot on the Salarian Engineer.

This thread brings back memories. Believe it or not, at one time the Indra was my favorite gun in the game. For whatever reason, RNGesus gave me a lot of Indra upgrades early on, and I do mean A LOT. I had an Indra VII while most of my URs were either rank I. II or not even unlocked yet. Hell, half of my rares weren't even maxed back then. As time went on and I unlocked or upgraded more and more of my arsenal, I realized, and it hurts me to say it, that the Indra wasn't all that great. To be more specific, I think there are 2 major flaws that hold it down and they've already been mentioned:
Indra's not a good assault rifle with that scope and hipfire penalty.
I don't really like the Indra. I mean it's okay as a scoped AR. but I really hate the impact decals that obscure the target.
The hip fire penalty is stupid large. 50% reduced damage to be exact. Where with the 1-3 shot SRs I can quickscope a target in CQC to avoid the penalty, in Indras case it's more of a scope-and-hold-for-whole-mag (or half a mag depending on the kit and powers.) And that wouldn't be as big a deal if it wasn't for the second drawback- the god awful "explosive rounds" particle effect upon impact. How anyone thought it was a good idea is f*cking beyond me. Best case scenario it makes it difficult to keep the crosshairs on the enemies heads at mid-long range since at that range the particle effect is something like 1/3 or even half the size of the target. Worst case scenario, you'll be completely off target and not notice it. Which ties in to my previous point: CQC with the Indra is a nightmare.
I'm forced to choose b/w tunnel visioning for a substantial amount of time and hoping to god the rifle is shooting where I want it to OR hip fire and loose 50% of my damage.
Still, I enjoyed the video for nostalgia reasons and if you really enjoy the rifle, I guess you can overlook these two flaws. In any event, A for effort, OP. Have a like. ![]()

It's one of the few guns I have never used. If I want an "auto" SR, the CSR is what I go with, even though I follow conventional wisdom and don't hold the trigger down.
I use the CSR like the Mattock and it ****** wrecks. Try it sometime! Surprisingly effective.
Also, OT: OP is right, the Indra kicks ass.
