Hi everyone,
It's nice to see the interest in the series, critical and positive alike. One of the things I stress is for viewers to think for themselves. All we are doing is pointing out a story that is just below the surface... one the narrative itself actually tells if you listen. Don't get me wrong, it's not actually easy to see - fiction within fiction is supposed to be like that or it wouldn't be any good.
As for the comment on investing this much time in an investigative series... The ending of this game caused a lot of pain and anger. If we can help people through that in any way, why not try? Our intention is two-fold (or at least, as the writer of the series, my intention) was to both help myself get over the ending and say goodbye to this wonderful cast of characters and the MEU... and to help people understand that something amazing was going on - just out of the corner of our eye. The writers of this series deserve a lot of credit for what they have done with this story - regardless of how we interpret it.
As for the delay in Ep 5; this was explained on the yt channel, although not in detail. Personal issues arise that are unavoidable sometimes. I actually had both episode 5 and 6 written and Ep 5 story boarded over two years ago. I'll have the first full SB of Ep 6 done this weekend.
As for the length - what good is a detailed investigation... turned into an adventure, if you jump to the last page? If I bullet point a few key things and drop the point of convergence most would hand wave it due to 'lack of X'
If you take the time to watch all 5 episodes you will see that we were learning. Each investigation helped us adjust our course and put us on track to look for the right things.
In closing, I thank you all for taking the time to comment, weather you watch the series or not. If you want to take the shortcut to the end, wait for Episode 6... or take a chance on adventuring back through the series with us in a proper search for the truth. You may find it's a fun ride.
As a treat - or maybe a troll - the point where it all goes wrong is different than convergence... and neither are anywhere close to Virmire. And you can forget about the plot worlds. Now dust off your copies of Mass Effect and go hunting... and when you find where it all goes wrong, you'll know - it will hit you like a brick.
One more hint, as I was going to put this in the credits and didn't get the chance. Doctor Who?
