I have seen a lot of stuff lately about how EA while charging full price for DAI on the last gen consoles now ignoring that commitment after getting their money and dropping support for those systems.

Is that messed up and wrong? Absolutely.

While you can voice your displeasure here it's not going to really do anything.  At best starting now, never buy a game that says EA on the box unless its used, or don't buy it at all.  You could start now and its the best thing you can do in the situation.

Shouldn't this go in the DA forum?

Why would this go in the DA forum when DAI is out and people have bought it already? ME: A is presumably the next EA game coming out and the chance to actually do something.

ME:A isn't coming out on last gen consoles, it's only coming out on next-gen and the power issue was the reason Bioware gave for moving DAI's DLC to next-gen. Also, it's currently a topic only DA related, and your OP is talking about DAI. So if you want a real discussion, go to the DA forum, i'm out thxkbye.

Used games are one of the reasons that EA and other gaming companies have to do money sucking activities like micro-transactions and on disc DLC.

with ya NextArishouk30U8.

I bouy very few games new nouw based oun hourrid experiences.  It is a vicios circle I sppouse.  I will likely bouy ME:A right away since I am an ME fan, buot any others I'll wait for (oun XB1) price droup/deals-free with Gould/EA Access.

Truth is, these coumpanies have to put greater quality/content into their games.  How many of us have been disapoiunt with games for houw loung now?  I used to be a new game buyer, and have been burned too often.  I doubt very much I am alone in this point of view.

Hope you're listening EA.  Put out the games with proper content amount and quality, and gamers will gladly pay.  However paying for shoddy content-lacking-buggy-we'll patch^10 it-products so you can make $ has simply grown old.  (Note: this isn't just about EA but the industry in general)

No they would do it any way even if used games did not exist. Money is Money.

I try to avoid EA games at all costs with the only EA game I make a exception for is Mass Effect. I don't like how they do things, not a huge fan of Origin and their customer service is the worst I have dealt with.

It's a temporary problem, only until physical media go away.

Used games sell for five bucks less than a full game.  Doesn't seem logical to buy a used game.

"Used games" and "greed" are two totally different things.

I got DA: Inquisition for PS3 and i agree it's a nasty move from EA. I won't buy the game again, that's for sure.

I won't be able to buy and play the incoming dlc, if it have some lore or story I just have to watch some streaming or videos on youtube.

No big deal, less money for them.

Honestly I played DA:I on the 360. While I enjoyed the 150 hr play through, I won't be getting it for the XBoxOne, not because "EA is screwing me" but because one play through of the game was enough. I started a second and realized when I got to the part where I had to level up to close that one rift to get into Redcliff that I didn't want to bother grinding it out again. That's why I won't be buying a copy for the XBox One regardless of the DLC.

Physical media are just wildly inefficient. I called in BioWare to abandon physical media and distribute only digitally back in 2003.

Buying used would just get EA to start targeting used games and finding a way to get more money out of them. If you are that against EA's practices you should not buy their games at all, used or new.

Plus, I'm not certain that handing $55 over to Gamestop is really any better.

The problem is that a good portion of America is still on dial up. Where I live we didn't get cable connections until 2005.

I'm in. Let's punish the publishers by punish the developers of a game they didn't develop. I'm sure EA gets the message since ME being developed by DAI team. I'm sure EA also gets the message if we boycott games like Battlefields to let them know that because of DAI practice by EA that we boycott them. Afterall, Battlefields is being made DAI team also. It's totally clear by the game sales that it's because we dislike their practice on a unrelated game and not due to the game quality at all. They will definitely change their practice and wouldn't shut down that studio for an issue from an unrelated game.

But they aren't targeting used games.  They recently did away with online passes.  Sure that may happen in the future, but its not happening now.  When the time comes then you can take that step.  As of right now you don't have to.

I can't even think you're being serious by the second part.  You have more sense than that from reading your other posts.  That said online purchases ftw.

I don't understand why they still exist, especially given the console manufacturers' preference for always online services.
