What do you guys think of a "colony defense" game? It can be played as a single player game in SP, but will also have a multiplayer component if the player chooses?
The game would be an over-the-top game, turn based where you setup a colony and have to protect it from the "Khet" and mercs.. And in PvP you would defend it from obviously the other player.
What do you think?

Personally, I hope they bring back the hacking from ME2 and the casino-style games from the Citadel DLC. AND THE SKYCAR FLYING FROM LAIR OF THE SHADOWBROKER THAT WAS FUN.

They were something to add variety into the places where it was just walking around and no shooting.
I liked that too. I mean if it's not overused it's nice gimmick.
I don't see why you'd need to make it into a minigame. You could have a full MP game mode where you have to defend a colony from an invading force. Actually defending it as opposed to simply just slaughtering 10 waves of enemies on a map that looks like a colony.
While I wouldn't use it, I also wouldn't care if they let SP people run through it with AI squadmates.
PvP should be thrown out the airlock, though.
As far as minigames go, I'd like to see the casino games make a return and maybe something like Pazaak for Mass Effect.

They could always look to Star Wars Battlefront II for ideas about PvP, but I don't think a Mass Effect game SHOULD have PvP to begin with.

It largely wouldn't in a Mass Effect game without drastically altering how a lot of abilities work.
PvP is okay, but it doesn't need to be in every single game. Mass Effect is just fine without it.

I don't have as much of a problem with PvP in and of itself as I do with what would be required to allow it to function alongside the content we already have (singleplayer and coop).
Should BioWare ever feel that it would be a good addition to the Mass Effect name, I hope they develop it as a separate title entirely.
