Question:

 

If I downloaded this on my computer, and got the "free unlimited multiplayer", would I be eligible to participate in the PC beta? Also if I got a better PC down the road, would I be able to transfer my free progress to it?

Texas - Progress on the PC is tied to your Origin account, so yeah - simply log in on your new machine with the Origin account in question to have your progress with you.

 

Regarding beta participation, this is an opt-in signup process that EA/Bioware controls, so participation is not Automatic and may include a check to see if you own the game.

 

Getting the client again on your new machine may be the biggest challenge, if you do not own the base game on the PC Platform, since I don't assume the trial offer stays on your Origin account after the offer period has ended.

 

Give it a try, and take some screenshots of Origin as you go. It would be an interesting thought experiment, as I have several beta's tests from other games on Origin I own (Mostly the Battlefield series) that still show up in Origin even though those beta's ended years ago.

Correct. The download is available for a limited time, until 10am PDT on Tuesday, July 21.  Once you have downloaded the trial, you have full access to DAIMP on PC.

 

If you decide to upgrade to the full version of DAI, your progress in DAIMP will come with you.

 

If you have some friends that have been on the fence, or you're just trying to fill up a party, it's a great time to recruit some new players :-D

Ah, that's very nice of you guys to allow people the chance to have at DAIMP without the full game. 

 

I have the full game myself, was curious if this may be an option for console players? I prefer the MP to be for console myself for preferential reasons. Thanks again.

I don't see any official statement on MP DLCs. Without them, trial people could only play among themselves.

As far as I know they're all automatically packaged in with the download.

Having just downloaded it I can say the dlcs are automatically downloaded as well.

one other player had same issue. I think you will need to start a regular game account and go to the beta so username is tied to a pc based game account
