Sorry people but Droids vs Clones was B-side or worse filler content. Fighting Rebels vs Imperials is where it's at. Space Battles are overrated. Frankly I'd would prefer if Dice & EA did the right thing and name this game Star Wars : Battlefield. The original Battlefronts were fun but if you removed the License from those games then it would be obvious that they are mediocre because it's really the Star Wars element that really carried those games. People keep overlooking the forest for the bees which shows that the gift horse you are looking in the mouth of isn't Battlefront 3.

It's not about how bad the movies were, more about which would fit "Star Wars: Battlefield" more. (Because making this game into more of an uninspired battlefield skin is the priority here, apparently)
The Battle of Kashyyyk would be excellent for what they're aiming for in these videos.

On topic: I hope they release a beta on xbox or something. That way I'll know if I want to buy it or not.
Off topic: Who reported me and got me banned for two days?

I don't really care about the movies when it comes to these types of games.
I just wanna play as a robot and blow stuff up.
Is that too much to ask?
Apparently it is.

Uh huh. Less content is a good thing. Gotcha.

This is just getting more and more insane with people putting Battlefront1&2 in the god tier pantheon of video games and if you guys are really seeking out some where to vent the misguided star wars nerd rage, try this one out...

I like how you missed the point completely.

Wrong, my rebuttal was hidden in the common knowledge of the underlining problems and complaints about Super Bombad Racing are exactly similar to the current day complaints about the new Star Wars (Battlefield) Battlefront...
(taken from Wikipedia)"Super Bombad Racing received average to mixed responses when released in 2001. Some praised the game, calling it an accomplished kart racer and a welcome addition to the then-short list of PlayStation 2 titles. Others, however, felt that while the game was mechanically sound, the Star Wars setting and appearance felt "tacked on" and therefore a dirty ploy to make money for LucasArts. Others roundly criticized the game, both for turning Star Wars into a childish kart racer and for simply making a bad game. GameSpot gave Super Bombad Racing a score of 6.2 out of 10, saying it "...introduces a few clever concepts, but its length and the gameplay flaws significantly limit the game.""

But Bombad Racing and Battlefronts 1 and 2 are not the same, are they?
By all means, dig up a review for either game saying that the setting felt tacked on. Any complaints that I've seen were mostly due to the crappy AI which is a valid complaint.
What you're saying is that it's okay to remove half the game, the half that you've probably never or at least rarely played, just because you don't like the material that it's based off of. Are you really that selfish?

I think you got twisted around with how I was framing things, to be clear I was saying the current complaints about DICE/EA SW Battlefront are similar to opinions of SW Super Bombad racing (or just insert any infamous and abhorred SW game) and the OG Battlefronters have their underpants in a bunch since this new game isn't Battlefront 3. You can't argue cut content when the originals were made by a now defunct company and this new game is a "New" game which is made by a completely different company, so It's like trying to intermingle the Michael Keaton Batman Movies with the Christian Bale Batman Movies, they are just the same in name only.

If Christian Bale's Batman wore a pink outfit and ran around with actual superpowers rather than a bunch of gadgets and being the "world's greatest detective" then people would have complained that it wasn't Batman.
Similar to how when Abrams completely missed what fans loved about Star Trek, we complained that the reboot was missing many of the elements that made the old TV shows great.
New company is irrelevant. If you're going to revive an old IP you need to understand what people loved about it and use that. Otherwise you might as well just remove all the Star Wars branding, make Battlefield 2143 and call it a day.

Only now did I reread your post. I apologize.
That said, Bombad Racing was just an attempt to make a quick buck using a well-known IP and NOT a reboot of a beloved franchise (all two games). You can't compare the two.
