That is false. The number one cause of death is heart failure, which often is caused by morbid obesity.

Obesity is killing more people in the west than smoking is.

There is difference in being chubby and obese though. You can be chubby without health problems, it depends if you have healthy or unhealthy lifestyle. And then again that's your own choice to make, not someone else's.

Yes you can be healthy despite being chubby.

But the fatter you become the more health problems you'll encounter. It's best to not be chubby at all, especially if you're male (women are naturally more inclined to become chubby and it might be more difficult for a woman to stay lean, it takes more work for them).

And other people becoming fat is very much my concern as long as their treatment is being paid by my taxpayer's money.

Man, this thread went over the edge in the previous pages, how you guys came to talk about slavery is beyond me lol. As someone who regularly plays RTS games like Total War where you get the option to enslave a population and even commit genocide on them, the addition of a mechanic like that in Mass Effect wouldn't bother me a whole lot as long as Bioware didn't try to stupidity justify it in some way, because unlike in RTS games where the entire goal of the is game is to be an imperialistic a**hole(something which I love being), bringing that over to an RPG like Mass Effect might not come over as well.

Unless of course Mass Effect is planning to go full Warhammer 40k, then they can go as crazy as they want.

True, you will get health problems if you are severely overweight. Just like underweight as well. Most people aren't though and I doubt anyone have been asking squadmate who can't get out of bed without help. In that point There is huge difference on being chubby and being in that state though.

So are treatment of alcoholics as well. That is one thing that costs lot of taxpayers money every year in many field, but people still are allowed to drink. It's because we have freedom to screw up ourselves too.

Warhammer 40k

I'd rather be an Inquisitor there than the Bioware kind.

One does not simply accuse Mass Effect of lacking human diversity.

One not does simply notice that the word a have been switched.

Apparently morally bankrupt people with power complexes got Internet access now. Shocker.

Logically, anyone dumb enough to believe in slavery has already shown that it's their best only career option. so they should put their money where their mouth is - as the expression goes - and become my slaves. (I wouldn't want sentient beings as slaves, but they've already shown they aren't, so it's a win-win. They get their belief in slavery validated, and I get my toilets cleaned free of charge.)

Or just keyboard warrior moral edgemasters with inferiority based god complexes, who clearly don't understand economics and thus why slavery is no longer practiced in the developed world (PROTIP: It isn't because humans suddenly grew a conscience during the industrial revolution).

China does that with the support of the developed world corporations.

Modern slavery is illegal, but it still exist. It's not openly supported though. Capitalism is just getting quite out of hand globally and that's the cause.

That's not slavery. It's wage labour (the superior system which replaced it). Those people aren't owned by and property of their employer if they can choose to leave at any time.

You sound like you want to destroy democracy there and start up some dictatorial state. Sadly, humans have already evolved from those times.

Not really, capitalism works on paper. Its the the government corruption and human greed that causes it. Its delusional to think if corrupt governments change their system from capitalism, there would be any changes.

Everything works on paper. Communism as well. The corruption and greed are just something that to need cut out before they do serious damage, there needs to be rules and they need to looked after. In global area of globalism this hasn't happened, which has prompted misuse of power in many places.

And those people belong to cults, radical theology, and revolutionary states/paramilitaries.

If the time and/or situation call for it, a lot of humans will bow down before a Caesar who will give them order and purpose.

The people just want their basic needs satisfied, and this generally means being in middle class. As long as this is the case, no one will care.

Joker iconic quotes which says: "To them, you’re just a freak, like me! They need you right now, but when they don’t, they’ll cast you out, like a leper! You see, their morals, their code, it’s a bad joke. Dropped at the first sign of trouble. They’re only as good as the world allows them to be. I’ll show you. When the chips are down, these… these civilized people, they’ll eat each other. See, I’m not a monster. I’m just ahead of the curve."

So no one cares about order and purpose really, as long as they have a happy life and their needs satisfied. This is why there is close to no humans in the Qun, no one wants purpose, they want the chaotic human life.

No.

Morbid obesity is someone with a BMI greater than 40. That is not "chubby" or even obese (BMI greater than 30). You can get CHF even if you're not obese at all. A lot of really diminutive people who have BMI less than 25 have ejection fractions less than 55% because of other long-standing chronic problems or non-compliance. Obesity is only one risk factor of heart failure. Chronic hypertension, hyperlipidemia, and smoking are bigger factors than obesity.
