So here I am, romancing Sera. Because the actual heavy version of the warrior mail is actually lacking the chainmail and doesn't look protective enough, I make a class-free prowler mail that is actually more armored. Made it good too, with its stats actually working well for me despite being rogue armor. So I go to make other party member's armor, and realize my own rogue armor that I made is so good that I should just duplicate it with the exploit and give it to the other rogues and simply recolor it (my armor was tinting with nothing but dragon materials). But when I get to Sera's tinting, and see her in the same color scheme as my own character... I don't recolor it. She's my character's romance character, wouldn't it be fitting for them to wear matching colors? So I did it, I kept her colored the same way as my own character. On purpose.

That is something 8 year old girls do, having matching bestie clothes. And I did it anyway. It looks good though... Besides, it feels fitting that the Inquisitor's girlfriend is the only other one to get dragon material armor. Bed the Inquisitor, get dragon gear. Good deal! Only question is, is this going to be a "thing" I do from now on with future playthroughs when it comes to romances?

It's not actually dragon material of course. Mostly, though some components of it used dragon stuff. I just tinted it to be full dragon colored. But I pretend it's actually a full dragon set.

Pics or it didn't happen.

(Seriously though, it would help the thread if you actually gave us some pics of Sera and Quizzy.)

Uh... Not easy. Most I can do is a crappy cell phone pic of my tv, screenshots are completely impossible.

Meh I don't care what actual fashion people say, I love "matchy-matchy." I'm sure you guys look great together. That said, if you take Sera along with you most of the time, you don't think it looks odd to have only the two of you matching, but the other two in something different?

(The tint table is such a lovely time waster. I thank the devs daily for adding it.)

No, it doesn't look odd to me. It's almost like a weird way of showing the world that they own each other and belong to each other. They are the most linked party members, there's "soul mate" and "everyone else". Everyone else wears whatever they want, but the two love birds make a visible statement about being together by wearing the same color scheme and material. I guess in simple terms, it shows that they've claimed each other and marked it by being matching. Even people who don't know their relationship might realize they have some kind of connection when people seeing them together in their respective armors. The other two aren't the Inquisitor's love, so they don't get to wear the orange-gold and white colors that make my Inquisitor so striking.

It might look weird to people not in the know, but to those in the Inquisition they know exactly what their matching colors symbolize.

What? Oh, only 8-year-old girls like matching clothing together huh? Guys can't do it too huh? That's sexist! That's anti-man! I'm so offended right now!

Joking of course.

My male human mage and Cassandra didn't really match in clothing for most of the game, but before the final battle when I figured I should make the best armor possible for each, I got the best schematics for the mage and warrior. I found that using the Fade-touched Plush Faustian Velvet (which I think reduces cost of abilities) was best and I fitted them both with that. The green pattern was basically for my Inquisitor and Cassandra took his colors to signify the relationship. My mage wears the long coat mage armor, and Cassandra's in the warrior armor that looks like a coat as well.

I can only see doing this for the final armors, since you're constantly getting new and better armors and materials during the course of the game and matching the outfits each time would be too time consuming. Might post a picture later.

Typically, matching clothing normally happens with siblings, not so much with your lover.

I wasn't gonna say anything.

You won't believe all the fights I've had with my girlfriend, when we ended up wearing the same  dress before going out. But I always made her change; I am the man of the house after all.

Oh... well I think there is a difference between wearing the exact same outfit and being color coordinated.

Seeing as how all of the armors are styled to the Inquisitor and follower, it's really more about having a similar, matching look than wearing the same thing.

We can when some games like Dragon's Dogma allow it, but most of the time no.

The only way I know of is to hook up a DVD-writable recorder to the TV, record the game footage, and then place the DVD in a computer and break the frames up to make image files in a program like Premiere.
