The Catalyst is replaced by Shepard in my playthrough. Would be interesting to see CataShep again, but I doubt it's gonna happen.

If we see CataShep again, I wan't him to look like this, sitting in a throne and all that:

I agree that Starbrat should be the ship's new artificial intelligence. Indoctrinated reaper agents knew about the Intelligence and made a full clone of it for us to transport to Andromeda and solve the organic-synthetic problem there.

Pre-order cancelled.

The Crucible wasn't a superweapon? What definition of "superweapon" are you using there?

The crucible was an amplifier with no instructions. If there was no Catalyst Shepard would have had no idea what to do once inside the citadel, if the reapers decided not to destroy the citadel. If Shepard knew how to use the crucible to defeat his opponents then I would agree it was a super weapon.

His kind transcends our very understanding. ;)

As far as we know you cannot handle AI like conventional pieces of data and they are tied to specific pieces of hardware. Geth yes, AI no. The result of a reinstallation would be a new AI. Could be different for the catalyst but we don´t know.

I think a backup wouldn´t be seen by an AI as him but more like a human thinks of a clone.

And well he said that he is some kind of collective Reaper thing. So you grilled/controlled/synthesized him, all his databases and possible hardware he could run on.

I disagree. :)

ME:A spoilers, at the end everything turns upside down and Star child makes you choose between blue, green and red options and no matter what you choose the ending will be same regardless whatever you did in the game.

Quarian Master Race, you almost killed me in this thread!

I assume that the fact that my post is winning the likes war means that most people agree with my opinion.

If you want to. We´ve never seen anything hinting at the possibility. If he had one, his system restoration protocols are crap. I would consider changing the variables so that you let a human enter your room, explaining to him how to destroy your and then raising a walkway so he can get there comfortably instead of letting him bleed out, a big bit of malware in your system and a viable reason to switch to backup.

Unless he placed it somewhere in deep space just in case, then it´s irrelevant anyways. Control: Reapers are dead, no one can retrieve it, in control the Shepalyst probably destroyed it and in synthesis there are now two catalyst who can now do whatever greeneyed AIs do.

I like your posts because they make me laugh, even if I don't agree 100%. Although I agree with you more often than not.

The starchild is the best character in the entire ME series. Whomever wrote him into existence needs a raise.

I'm very serious about the second part.

I would be fine with it, as long as shooting him in the face led to the best ending.

The whole point of going to Andromeda is to leave the endings and all their bad smells back in the Milky Way. We have to go to Andromeda as we wait for the experts to clean the stink out of the Milky Way.

Sometimes the stink is so bad the best thing to do is get another Galaxy as a replacement.

I had a dorm-room like that once.

It's also like literally the only way to respect your actual choices throughout the trilogy without imploding under the weight of various Shepard decisions. Girl made a lot of choices. Some of them were probably dumb.

Which probably means that ME:A's story will not end with a galaxy wide stink bomb. Just a cluster sized fart...

me: Why are you here in Andromeda?
catalyst: You don't need to know and there isn't enough time to explain

Catalyst: "It'd be like explaining color to a creature without eyes."

By the time MEA takes place the catalyst will be a fully grown starman and thus can be romanced in good conscience.

He's a one billion year old AI. It's okay, Officer!

The guy that made that FemShep x Catalyst is safe from the long arm of the law.

Fantastic. The Catalyst should be the new ship's AI, analogous to EDI in ME2 and getting an absurdly sexualized robotic platform in the next installment.

It should also make frequent use of horrible Anikin Skywalker references in its dialouge, and be a romance option with terrible pick up lines that compare the PC to sand.

I would probably pledge like five bucks to this if it were on Kickstarter.

Even if you get the chance to actually kill him in Me4?

Great idea OP. I loved that little shіt. Most successful troll in galactic history. Its ability to rustle transcends time, space and the 4th wall.

I'm almost sad that I blew it up.

When the Crucible created a wormhole to Andromeda that dragged ships into it, the Catalyst jacked into a wireless signal emitting from one of said ships and sneakily uploaded into its framework before they zipped away.

Hence, Catalyst in Andromeda. Easy-peasy, people. I'll actually be surprised if it's not there.
