Yeah, that's right. But there are many more Ideas in this Thread less well thought out than my Idea. But, as I am a Fountain of Creativity, I can come up with another one. Although the interesting Part about your Posts here is the Interconnection of your Characters - making it interesting, how the Character#s of others would fit in.

 

... so here's my next Idea. You can choose this one or the other One I linked above:

 

I'm thinking of a male Turian, from that Biotics-Division of theirs. He would be built around being extremely Survivability, in Gameplay as well as Character. He is a very honorable Man, but he has a personal Grudge against Humans, which he sees as Upstarts (even though he wasn't even born before they entered the Galactic Scene). You take over.

He would be built around being extremely durable, in Gameplay (Likely a Sentinel) as well as in Character (Seasoned Veteran, Survivalist, Paratrooper-esque). He is a very honorable Man, but he has a personal Grudge against Humans. You take over.

As these characters are all under the vague assumption that this takes place in Andromeda, the 'Upstarts' part was removed but could be spliced back in if the characters were edited for the Milky Way:

8) Syrus Komyn, "Always by the book." (Turian Sentinel)

Background Synopsis: Syrus is a Cabal; a turian biotic placed into a special team consisting only of fellow biotics. Despite the stigma Turians have for biotics, he carries both his abilities and his team with pride. Syrus in particular is known for surviving missions deemed 'impossible to survive' and is refereed to by many as blessed by the 'Spirit of Survival'. He's far older than the retirement age for a Turian Soldier, but all he knows is fighting and his loyalty to the Turian Primarch. Syrus encounters the player while on a mission and will join the player for a time as they have the same end-goal.

 

Personality: Syrus is a grizzled veteran; he's seen his share of battles and suffered the loss of his comrades many times over. He's thus seen as detached by many other Turians, as he's never seen grieving their deaths. But no one denies his bravery and dedication to his missions: He never flees from a battle, instead slowly falling back while setting up traps, ambushes, and diversions to continue harassing his opponent. He always remains focused on his objective, even when forced to take a detour, but will never compromise his values to achieve them. He is well versed in a variety of local and regional laws, and will be quick to point out if the player is about to do something that is against the law. He has a personal stigma against humans, and will be distrusting of them at best, and openly hostile at worst.

Appearance: Syrus' skin is a beige-grey hue, and his face is riddled with scars. His eyes are a bluish hue, with his left eye being particularly scarred up, and he never clarifies if he can actually see through it. His face-paint is white, forming an upside down 'V'  which starts between his eyes then wing down and around his nose and towards his mandibles. This 'V' shape is accented by a thick red line under each eye.

His armor is thick, heavy class and colored with a dark camouflage pattern and accented with white lines. There are propulsion jets on his ankles, back, and elbows.

Combat: Syrus is a survivor. His Barrier reduces damage afflicted to him, while Recon Mine lets him set up a trap for enemies and track enemy movement nearby. Reave gives him an extra defensive tool and can prime/detonate explosions. His loyalty skill is Biotic Focus, which hones his movement speed and close combat skills even more.

Syrus utilizes an Assault Rifle and an SMG.

 

Approval/Morality Alignment: Syrus approves of actions that are 'by the book', even if they end up benefiting humans in the end. He won't chastise a player for belittling, harassing, or otherwise going against other humans but will become annoyed if the player supports humans over other races (namely Turians) when the law isn't supporting either one. He will leave the party of the player commits too many wrongful acts. He would be considered Lawful Good.

He conflicts with Tasha and conflicts heavily with Herald, and a confrontation between the two is inevitable whether or not either one is loyal to the Player. He does not trust a non-loyal Dinata, openly calling her 'Barefaced'. He will be disappointed with her if she is Loyal, saying she should consider 'anywhere but a human ship' her home. He's suspicious of Gnash, Shriik, and Zar, but gets along swimmingly with Borim and Fera.

 

Loyalty Mission: After some time on your ship, Syrus will eventually admit to the player that there has been something bothering him. He will tell you that the rest of his squad was killed on their last mission due to faulty information from a human who sent information to his commanders. He would like to track this human down and find out for himself if the man's information was genuinely or maliciously sent. Agreeing, the player and Syrus find this humans office, but are unable to find any information when he returns.

 

Syrus demands answers, grabbing the human whose guards (which are Turians) ready their weapons. The player can convince ("This isn't right, Syrus!") or order Syrus to stand down. . .OR can encourage Syrus to rough the man up while the player and their other companion will take down the guards (Herald: "With pleasure!"). Regardless, the man admits that the information was fabricated by smugglers for the purposes of removing the Cabal Unit's presence from the area. The following outcomes are possible:

If Syrus stood down: Syrus is heavily conflicted between his feelings and his duty, and defers to the player. Player can convince Syrus to have the man arrested (Pro-Unity, Paragon choice) or allow Syrus to kill the man out of revenge (Pro-Turian, Renegade choice). If Syrus kills the human, the player will then be forced to kill his guards. Either way, his loyalty is secured.

 

If Syrus did not stand down: Syrus will kill the man in a fit of rage, shouting the names of his fallen teammates with each strike until ending the man's life with a biotics-assisted neck snap. The player can console the grieving Turian (convincing him to be more Pro-Unity) or remind him that there are more people like 'him, out there.' (Encourage Syrus to be more Xenophobic.). His Loyalty will be secure.

 

With his loyalty secure, Syrus will either consider the player 'the paragon of their people' (Encouraged to be Pro-Unity) or they are 'an uncommon but welcome exception' (Pro-Turian). He will be more willing to tell you about past missions, and the player can help him get through his awakened grief for all of his fallen fellows.

 

A confrontation between Herald and Syrus will play out. If both were convinced to be more Pro-Unity, they will reconcile right as the player arrives to intervene. If one or the other is still Xenophobic, the player will have to work to convince them both to get along or risk losing the loyalty of one or the other. If both are xenophobic the player will be forced to choose a side, and the losing side will lose their loyalty with no chance to regain it.

Romance: Syrus cannot be romanced, and will openly turn the idea down regardless of player gender or if encouraged to be more Pro-Unity. If pressed and his loyalty secured, he will reveal that his wife was one of the members of his fallen team and still considers himself to be married.

Other: If the Player has both Syrus' and Herald's loyalty, and the player encouraged both to be more Pro-Unity, the two will later be found having a conversation over drinks and finding out they have more in common than they thought.

 

9) Tasha Jackson (and ALI),The Synthesized (Human Engineer)

Background Synopsis: Tasha never knew her parents. She grew up in a station's slum district, and was raised for a short time by a distant relative before being kicked to the street. She fell in with a gang and took part in her fair share of dealings before a drug bust left her crippled. Mistaking her to be dead, her body was sold to a black project working on the flawless integration of synthetic technology to an organic body. Known as 'Project Synthesis' (HUE HUE HUE), parts of her body, including her legs and right arm, a few vital organs, and parts of her brain were replaced with technological equivalents. To the surprise of the researchers, she woke up one day in a frenzied daze. . .and then to their horror they found their security systems turned against them.

Tasha, now Eighteen, escaped and returned to the streets for a time, before a voice convinced her to sell her new abilities as a hacker. This voice later turned out to be an experimental VI, known as the Assisted Logistical Interface or ALI (pronounced 'Ally'). Taking its advice, she now works as an assistant for an information broker before being hired on by the player.

 

Personality: Tasha thinks she knows everything just because she can access the extranet using just her mind and the assistance of ALI. She doesn't trust authority figures or doctors given past events. . .in fact, to say that she trusts anyone would be a bit of a stretch. She's cocky, arrogant, and certain that her abilities make her untouchable. She has a slight fear of fellow hackers, thinking they could take control of parts of her body, but strives not to show this. She likes to smoke, drink, and party and is more likely to do something if you tell her explicitly not to.

ALI is just an experimental VI installed in her brain that assists her in general information gathering and split-second decision-making but is useless in regards to emotionally charged decisions. It has no personality of its own, as all VIs are.

Appearance: Tasha is a young African-American woman with hair that goes down to the base of her neck, which is tied back into a long ponytail. . .on closer inspection, the one will find that this hair is made of small cables that can be adjusted and formed into different shapes just like normal hair. The sides of her head are shaved stylistically, allowing the surgical scars along her cybernetic scalp to be visible. Both of her eyes are cybernetic as well, with a glowing green hue to them. Her cybernetic legs are more in line with a turian's than a human's, and her replaced right hand only has three fingers on it, as well as a rounded disc on the top that is can be charged with electricity for usage as a 'stun punch'. A few  cables can be seen sticking out of her right arm and into the shoulder.

She wears a modified suit of light armor with a human-made base with replacement legs and right arm from a Turian's suit. It's rust-colored but features glowing green sections on its surface and from exterior cables.

Combat: Tasha's not a durable fighter, and relies on her technological skills to harass her enemies and support her allies. Her Combat Drone is a useful diversion, while Sabotage lets her turn synthetic units against their former teammates. She also features Shield Boost, allowing her to repair a nearby ally in the case of an emergency and allowing her to serve as a form of 'team medic'. Her loyalty skill is Supply Pylon, letting her stock her teammates and herself with ammo and grenades.

 

Approval/Morality Alignment: She approves of actions that reap the most profits, as well as actions that 'flip the bird towards the establishment'. She disapproves of actions that support the aforementioned establishment and will get angry if you try to 'baby' her. She can be best be described as Chaotic Neutral.

Herald will get along with her initially, but she'll call him an 'overzealous ******' which ruins that friendship opportunity. Zarr gets along with her no matter how much she insults him, and the two become friends. She thinks Gnash is smart, but creepy. She absolutely hates Dinata, Borim, and Syrus. She thinks Shriik is a 'pawn of the man'. She eventually thinks of Fera as a big sister, if her big sister was an 'overly peppy blue cheerleader from space'.

 

Loyalty Mission: Tasha wants some payback from Project Synthesis, even if it turns out not to be a legal venture to begin with. The player can accept, and Tasha will, with the help of ALI, lead them to where Project Synthesis is held up. The player can either sneak in, go in guns blazing, or even turn Tasha back over to them for a cash profit:

- If sneak in: The player will have to avoid security guards and talk/threaten their way past researchers and other assorted peoples.

- If guns blazing: The player will fight their way through the building, and anyone is fair game.

- If sell Tasha out: Player stuns her and an employee is able to assert ALI's control over Tasha's body. They receive a solid amount of credits and Tasha is removed from the party.
- If pretend to sell Tasha out: Tasha is angry and may blow the ruse unless you can subtly convince her. If convinced Tasha will play dumb, pretending to be a simple VI and can then be escorted through the building. The player will have to fight their way through otherwise.

If she wasn't sold back to Project Synthesis, the party will eventually reach the patient ward, to find other people in a far worse state than Tasha was when she woke up. She will be unsure of if these people should be freed or 'put out of their misery'. This decision is left to the player, but if their cover wasn't already blown the player will now have to fight off security while Tasha either purges the system to kill the patients or unlocks the seals to wake them up. After this, The Player and Tasha will encounter the Turian in charge of the facility, who is also heavily cybernetic. The Turian will claim that Tasha was nothing before her 'upgrades' and that embracing her 'Mechanical Destiny' is her only path to success in life. Being Tasha, she declines this advise with a few swear words and the fight begins. Once the Turian is defeated the party leaves as authorities arrive on the scene. Tasha' loyalty is secured.

If the patients were released, the Player will receive a message from an Asari who was one of those taken. She will express her gratitude and says she will find a way to repay the player (though nothing happens of it yet). Tasha can later be found contemplating the Turian Overseer's advice of her 'Mechanical Destiny'. The player can either convince her that its incorrect ("It's not the machine that makes the woman.") or to embrace it ("You have the chance to go beyond what any human is capable of. Take that chance."). Depending on how you answer, Tasha will either look into the possibility of cloned body parts or otherwise more 'human' replacements, or will look into getting 'bigger, more -badass- mods' installed.

 

With her loyalty secured, Tasha will be more open and welcoming towards the player regardless of if she was convinced to be indifferent or focused on her cybernetics, and will start to look upon the Player as a more parental figure. She will be friendlier to the rest of the party, though whether or not they will forgive her for how she acted prior is another story.

Romance: Tasha cannot be romanced, and cannot be flirted with.

Other: There are multiple occasions where the player can assert themselves as a parental figure for Tasha once she's loyal. If Tasha tries to smoke on your ship you can either let her ("Knock yourself out, kid.") or refuse ( "Not in my house, young lady" ). When she attempts to smoke anyways you can either give up or confiscate her smokes, and then ground her when she has a fit about it.

Other: There are multiple occasions where the player can assert themselves as a parental figure for Tasha once she's loyal. If Tasha tries to smoke on your ship you can either let her ("Knock yourself out, kid.") or refuse ( "Not in my house, young lady" ). When she attempts to smoke anyways you can either give up or confiscate her smokes, and then ground her when she has a fit about it.

She did not want to spend her Life, that practically just begun, in Prison and escaped, going into Anonymity. How exactly she managed to get to/around Andromeda might be a driving Question behind her. A major Characteristic is her Hipocrisy and Inability to see herself as at Fault with something. Besides that, she might be a nice Person.

10)  Keera‘Ladron nar Waterloo (Quarian Soldier)

Background Synopsis: Born on a Quarian-Occupied Human Frigate, Keera was the youngest sibling of a large family, and spoiled rotten both in terms of life and on stories of her family's grandeur. Eager for some space for herself, she departed on her Pilgrimage and ended up spending most of the money given to her drinking, eating fancy Turian cuisine, and otherwise nothing of real use to her journey. When money ran low, she realized just how little she knew and in a panic, thought back on the lessons she’d learned on the Frigate, and thought a little harmless ‘salvaging’ wouldn’t get her in trouble. . .only she went on to ‘salvage’ away equipment owned by mercs. She fled aboard a Kodiak shuttle which was shot down on a not-so-friendly planet.

She sends out a distress signal in hopes it would reach the Waterloo, only for it to be intercepted by the player who can ignore it or move to assist. The vessel is damaged during the battle (both from the player’s ship dogfighting the merc ships and from the inside as the landing party tries to secure it) and Keera is brought aboard. The player can either drop her off somewhere or can be kept on. If Zarr was recruited, he does not believe Keera’s story of ‘repairing a derelict ship and being attacked by pirates’. She will be surprised, and Zarr will announce to her that he is ‘Zarr’Corris nar Wayyak’ and tell the player that Keera is ‘a petty smuggler and a disgrace to us real Quarians. Throw her out the airlock’.

Regardless, the player can accept her aboard their ship and into their party.

 

Personality: She is the type of person who pushes blame and responsibility on other people. She isn’t good at thinking ahead and prefers to live in the moment. She thinks she has good taste and doesn’t like to do much work herself. She makes a big deal of her family’s proud ‘Marine Heritage’ but uses it as a status symbol rather than living up to it herself. But she’s disciplined in a pinch and has more of a knack for gear maintenance than ship repair.

Appearance: Ignoring the mystique of a Quarian’s face for another time, her suit is heavily armored for a Quarian, more fitting of a marine than the common Quarian seen by most. It is silver with an orange-like tint and accented by white lines. She does not wear a cowl over her helmet like most female quarians, rather she wears a ‘cape’ of sorts that covers the top of the breastplate, covers the shoulders, and goes down to the small of the back. This cape is Deep blue with golden swirls upon it and a gold trim around the side. Her shoulder pauldrons are thick and pointed, and she has a utility belt around her waist.

Combat: Keera is about churning out damage and keeping enemies pinned down. Heavy Turret lets her deploy a turret that can shred exposed enemies, but is an easy target and has a limited range. Her Homing Grenades let her pelt a foe with a strong grenade, relying on the grenade’s inner workings to do the difficult aiming for her. Concussive Shot lets her fire a quick blast to stagger or knockdown an enemy, useful for detonating allied effects, exposing an enemy to fire, or giving her some breathing room. Her loyalty skill is Marksman, which increases both her accuracy and fire rate, letting her keep the pressure on an enemy or group of enemies

 

She uses an Assault Rifle and Pistol.

 

Approval/Morality Alignment: She likes actions that deliver good rewards, and when the player affiliates or supports people who can supply said rewards. While she’s no Robin Hood, she will approve of a player who takes away things from those with excess be they individuals, ruthless mercenaries, et cetera. She’s a good person at heart, but she’s very self-centered. She is best described as Neutral Good, bordering true neutral.

 

She tolerates Borim, finds Gnash and Tasha to be curiosities (Tasha thinks Keera is 'totally a self-entitled ******'), thinks Fera is too much of an optimist, thinks little of Dinata, Shriik, and Herald, and respects Syrus’ record but thinks he’s “an uptight Bosh’tet”. She and Zarr do not get along, and the two have a conflict moment similar to Herald and Syrus. If you side with Zarr, you will not be able to regain her loyalty.

 

Loyalty Mission: Eventually, the player will be notified by a crew member that Keera has been searching about the ship, making notes on various locations. Confronting her, she reveals that she’s still worried about her Pilgrimage and what she could possibly do to be accepted onto another ship. She believes acquiring a ship to be the best route, as it would add to the size of the fleet and possibly allow her to become the captain of her own ship at the same time, thus increasing her family’s prestige. Given that she’s been looking about the ship more intently, the player can accuse her of looking for a way to capture it which she will refute heavily. Keera then says she has already found a ship that’s prime for the taking, with a little bit of help from the Player's wallet, not that she mentioned that part.
 

If the player accepts, they can take her and another companion (Zarr won’t be happy if he’s involved) to the ship’s location, which is being auctioned off as, according to a turian attempting to acquire it, the last owner of the ship had ‘his assets liquidated by some human extremist awhile ago’ (Herald: “Innocent, by the way.”).

The ship is stolen by the mercenaries from before (they needed a replacement after the Quarian’s last stunt), and Keera will encourage the player to pursue them, eventually boarding the ship. Fighting their way to the bridge, the player can let the captain and the rest of the mercs live or to kill them off. Either way the ship will be taken and can either be returned or Keera will be allowed to keep it. Her loyalty is secured if the ship is kept, but you will have to have a decent Paragon (“This isn’t how you want to earn this.”) or Renegade (“You think your ‘prestigious’ family would accept and thief? Give it back.”) to convince her to return it and secure her loyalty. An added Renegade option will follow the first Renegade option that will allow you to convince Keera to give up her Pilgrimage, and she will solemnly agree saying she isn’t ‘worthy of going back’.
 

In summary, the options are as follows:

 

- If Keera was allowed to keep the ship: Pilgrimage complete with talks of her becoming a Captain of the ship she captured. Loyalty secured.

- If Keera was convinced to return the ship; player convinced her it was the moral choice: Ship returned. Loyalty secured.

- If Keera was convinced to return the ship; player failed to convince her morally: Ship returned. Keera leaves the party (steals equipment from player's ship)

- If Keera was convinced to abandon pilgrimage: Keera gives up on pilgrimage. Loyalty secured.

If her loyalty is secured by way of the ship being sent to the Quarians, Keera will announce that there are talks of her becoming a Captain of her own and she will thank the player, stating she will name the ship after him/her. If loyal and the ship was returned, she will thank the player and say that she’ll ‘do her pilgrimage right’ after your mission is done...you also learn that the Turian from before acquired the ship after paying a very steep bill to get it. If she gave up her pilgrimage, she will change her name to ‘vas Tempest’ and thank you for helping her find her way. If you returned the ship back and her loyalty isn’t secure, she will be frustrated by you and leave (stealing some of your ships equipment on the way out).

With her loyalty secured, she will be more respectful to you and crew, referring to them as her crewmates and to you as her Captain. If convinced to give up her pilgrimage she will be more humble, and won’t talk about her family anymore and will actively avoid the topic.

The confrontation between Zarr and Keera will only be triggered when both are loyal and Keera wasn't convinced to abandon her Pilgrimage. Zarr will be pleased if she has abandoned her pilgrimage, stating that 'Her family is respected by the fleet. She would bring shame to them if she returned as she is now'.

Romance: Keera can be flirted with either seriously or to annoy her. Either way, she’ll state that her ‘family has a certain pedigree to it. I’m expected to have children’. The player can ask her if that’s really important and she will either stand by this if encouraged to complete her pilgrimage, or question it if encouraged not to. Either way she will not be interested in the player.

Alright, one more before I go off to sleep.

 

This one is a human Biotic. He is an accomplished Academic, talented Biotic and, most importantly to him, a popular classical Musician - his rather old-fashioned Violin is his most valuable Possession. His Success in all three Fields has turned him quite arrogant and over-confident. However, he harbors a dark Secret connected with this Success that made him basically flee to and through Andromeda.

I imagine him looking like David Garrett.

I want Drack to be nothing like your typical Krogan.  Wrex was old and wise, knew when to hold 'em and would never fold 'em.  Grunt was young and wreckless, but matured greatly in ME3.

 

I want Drack to be a softie that doesn't want to fight unless s/he really has to.

11)  Andre Walker, The famous ‘Blue Virtuoso’ (Human Adept)

Background Synopsis: Andre Walker comes from a wealthy family that has managed to carve out some success for itself in Andromeda. He received a solid education, and from a young age showed an aptitude for music. Between this and his biotic potential, his parents decided that an Asari musician should be his tutor. This Asari was, surprisingly enough, Fera.

 

Over the course of his training under the alien, his biotics fell into rhythm with his playing and he went on to being known as the ‘Blue Virtuoso’. Together with Fera (whom he had a brief fling with) the two performed together for a time before splitting up on good terms, as she wanted to settle down and he wanted to continue his career.

 

Eventually the player encounters Andre looking for a place to ‘crash while the heat dies off’. If Fera is in the party at the time, the two will exchange a brief greeting and explain that they used to work together . . . but Andre will mention that they used to sleep together (Cue player, Fera, and other companion ‘Too much information’ reaction faces).

 

Inquiring into his trouble further reveals that he may or may not have just pissed some people off. Initially refusing will cause Andre to offer the player money in return for protection. Refusing again causes the player to leave Andre to reap what he’s sewn. Once aboard, he will attempt to come up with a few rules the player must follow, who will shoot them down as “this is my ship, I make the rules”.

 

Personality: Andre loves three things: Life, Lyrics, and Liquor. He’s cocky and pretty sure he’s indestructible, but quick to panic when the contrary occurs. He’s a carefree spirit who likes to flirt and doesn’t like when things become ‘too serious’. He can be a little sentimental, but tries to live in the present for the most part. He is stingy when it comes to his money and is rarely willing to part with it unless something, or someone, forces him to. (Ex. Paying the player for protection)

Appearance: He looks like real-life musician David Garrett, according to Feybrad.

He wears a lightly armored suit made of a dark metal that features a waist coat. The breastplate is white and his armor overall invokes the appearance of a musical conductor.

Combat: Andre supports his team with equal parts priming and detonating of biotic effects, while harassing his enemies. He can use Lash to violently fling enemies around. Mute allows him to prime an opponent and can prevent ability usage for a time (triggering a damage affect similar to sabotage on a non-synthetic) and Lift lets him suspend enemies into the air, priming them. Ricochet is his loyalty skill, which allows him to sling a biotic blast that can bounce off walls and enemies, detonating biotic explosions in the process. He uses a pistol and an SMG.

 

Approval/Morality Alignment: Andre approves of the player partaking in carefree and relaxing actions, and isn’t anxious to enter into any fights regardless of if they are necessary or not. He’s approves of seeing people ‘get what’s coming to them’ and likes to see the player exact vengeance on people who have crossed them, Andre, or whoever led them down this particular path. He is Chaotic Neutral at best.

 

He does not get along with Syrus (but will approve if Syrus murders the human in his loyalty mission), Dinata. He thinks Gnash is ugly and the feeling is mutual. He tries to rekindle a casual ‘friends with benefits’ deal with Fera who declines. He thinks Tasha is ‘old enough, but the metal bits ruin the good bits’. He wonders ‘who’s under Keera’s suit’ and gets along swimmingly with her, but doesn’t think she’s attractive. He thinks Borim’s name should be ‘Boring’ and that Shriik is a ‘hot stick in the mud’. He’s scared of Zarr and Herald, the former because of his size and Herald because he’s “a little extreme, commander”.

 

 When loyal, Herald will reveal that the Blue Flames considered recruiting Andre, but his sexual deviance ‘was a major turn off’.

 

Loyalty Mission:

Eventually, Andre will grow accustomed to life aboard your ship and will come to you seeking help. He tells you that his trusty violin was stolen from him prior to the player’s recruitment and that he now knows who took it. He suggests that they should plan a heist in order to recover it, as the violin is far too valuable to just be purchased back (not that he’d like to anyways). The player can refuse for some paragon points, agree to a heist, or “come up with a better plan” which just involves going in and shooting everyone until they get it back (This is the renegade one, by the way).

 

If the player chooses to set up a heist, they will have to ‘case’ the location, an ‘estate’ on a nice fresh garden world, to assess security and possible entry points, as well as decide who to bring along and decide who should perform what job. The ‘casing’ is done from a distance The following jobs and outcomes for your squad mates are as follows:

 

NOTE: Syrus will refuse to partake in the heist.

 

Distract outside security:

Zarr: Zarr will walk up to the front of the building, then throw one of the guards over a fence and headbutt the other, drawing the location’s outside defense team onto himself.

 

Herald: Herald will biotic charge into a crowd of guards patrolling the grounds and just start terrorizing them to draw the location’s outside defense team onto himself.

 

Dinata: Dinata will be positioned a short distance away, and will fire a rocket down nearby the location, causing panic and a fire.

 

Gnash: Gnash will just start setting things on fire, laughing and drawing the location’s outside defense team onto himself.

 

Fera: Fera will be able to distract the guards at the front door, but not attract the attention of the rest of the outside defense team.

Borim: Borim is ill-suited to distracting them all, and instead starts trying to kill them all off one by one. He won’t succeed as the player will meet reinforcements inside if the alarm is raised by the inside team.

 

Shriik: Shriik will assail the front gate with her biotics, distracting the outside defense team.

 

Tasha: Tasha will be able to deactivate communications between the outside and inside team, but it will only be so long before attention is drawn to the inside team.

 

Keera: Keera will divert a few guards into the hills, but won’t be able to distract the whole outside force.

 

When the player gets inside, they will have to sneak through or silently take out guards along the way to the vault unless they want to do deal with the entirety of the estate’s security team. Regardless, they will reach the vault and have to open it while diverting the security’s attention or by fighting them:

 

Breaching the Vault:

 

Zarr: Zarr will attempt to use the console, then become frustrated and headbutt it. This triggers the alarm and he instead focuses on pulling the door off while you hold off security.

 

Herald: Herald will run out of the room, startling the security outside, then run back in, and punch through the door with a biotics-infused punch.

 

Dinata: Dinata will set up charges and blow the door off the hinges, which will alert security.

 

Gnash: Gnash is actually able to bypass the security on the console to open the door without alerting security.

 

Fera: Fera will be able to open the door with the console, but will not be able to prevent security from being alerted.

 

Borim: Borim will be able to open the door with the console without alerting security.

 

Shriik: Shriik will be able to open the door, but will not be able to prevent security from being alerted.

 

Tasha: Tasha will be able to open the door with the console without alerting security. Nearby turrets will be switched to the player’s side if security is alerted later.

 

Keera: Keera will be able to open the door, but will not be able to prevent security from being alerted.

 

Now in the vault, the player will be able to loot a few items for their own use (perhaps some money, extra medi-gel, a weapon upgrade, armor piece, ETC) but grabbing the Violin will alert security if it hasn’t been already. . .though at this point this may mean nothing as most of the security personnel is dead based on how the player and their squad proceeded through the mission. Regardless, the player returns/fights their way back to their ship and takes off.

 

With his loyalty secured, Andre will be more respectful of the player, and will also perform a few musical pieces occasionally on the ship to entertain the crew. He will invite people to dance, who may or may not depending on a few factors. When asked, he’ll reveal that he wanted the violin back ‘mostly for sentimental reasons, but it’s still very valuable’. He’ll state that it was made on Earth before ‘we wound up here’ and that ‘it is a precious heirloom of humanity’.

 

Romance: He cannot be romanced as the player is either too much of a buzzkill (Paragon), too boring (Neutral), or too intense (Renegade).

He has some extra dialogue if a male player is Romancing Fera, and will offer you advice as to “where to put it for ‘Massive Effect’”. The player makes a face and declines.

Other: I named him after Andre Rieu.

 

He was originally going to be a bisexual option, then just a male option. But given I’m not a fan of having things become the SSV Loveboat, I decided that three romance options out of the current eleven characters was a solid amount:

• Straight female option with a human.
• Straight(?) male option with an Asari.
• Bisexual option with a Turian.
• Maybe will add more later on as companion amount continues to rise. Not like they’d all be recruited at the same time in the same game unless having a ship where everyone is a companion for missions becomes possible. . .

11)  Andre Walker, The famous ‘Blue Virtuoso’ (Human Adept)

Background Synopsis: Andre Walker comes from a wealthy family that has managed to carve out some success for itself in Andromeda. He received a solid education, and from a young age showed an aptitude for music. Between this and his biotic potential, his parents decided that an Asari musician should be his tutor. This Asari was, surprisingly enough, Fera.

 

Over the course of his training under the alien, his biotics fell into rhythm with his playing and he went on to being known as the ‘Blue Virtuoso’. Together with Fera (whom he had a brief fling with) the two performed together for a time before splitting up on good terms, as she wanted to settle down and he wanted to continue his career.

 

Eventually the player encounters Andre looking for a place to ‘crash while the heat dies off’. If Fera is in the party at the time, the two will exchange a brief greeting and explain that they used to work together . . . but Andre will mention that they used to sleep together (Cue player, Fera, and other companion ‘Too much information’ reaction faces).

 

Inquiring into his trouble further reveals that he may or may not have just pissed some people off. Initially refusing will cause Andre to offer the player money in return for protection. Refusing again causes the player to leave Andre to reap what he’s sewn. Once aboard, he will attempt to come up with a few rules the player must follow, who will shoot them down as “this is my ship, I make the rules”.

 

Personality: Andre loves three things: Life, Lyrics, and Liquor. He’s cocky and pretty sure he’s indestructible, but quick to panic when the contrary occurs. He’s a carefree spirit who likes to flirt and doesn’t like when things become ‘too serious’. He can be a little sentimental, but tries to live in the present for the most part. He is stingy when it comes to his money and is rarely willing to part with it unless something, or someone, forces him to. (Ex. Paying the player for protection)

Appearance: He looks like real-life musician David Garrett, according to Feybrad.

He wears a lightly armored suit made of a dark metal that features a waist coat. The breastplate is white and his armor overall invokes the appearance of a musical conductor.

Combat: Andre supports his team with equal parts priming and detonating of biotic effects, while harassing his enemies. He can use Lash to violently fling enemies around. Mute allows him to prime an opponent and can prevent ability usage for a time (triggering a damage affect similar to sabotage on a non-synthetic) and Lift lets him suspend enemies into the air, priming them. Ricochet is his loyalty skill, which allows him to sling a biotic blast that can bounce off walls and enemies, detonating biotic explosions in the process. He uses a pistol and an SMG.

 

Approval/Morality Alignment: Andre approves of the player partaking in carefree and relaxing actions, and isn’t anxious to enter into any fights regardless of if they are necessary or not. He’s approves of seeing people ‘get what’s coming to them’ and likes to see the player exact vengeance on people who have crossed them, Andre, or whoever led them down this particular path. He is Chaotic Neutral at best.

 

He does not get along with Syrus (but will approve if Syrus murders the human in his loyalty mission), Dinata. He thinks Gnash is ugly and the feeling is mutual. He tries to rekindle a casual ‘friends with benefits’ deal with Fera who declines. He thinks Tasha is ‘old enough, but the metal bits ruin the good bits’. He wonders ‘who’s under Keera’s suit’ and gets along swimmingly with her, but doesn’t think she’s attractive. He thinks Borim’s name should be ‘Boring’ and that Shriik is a ‘hot stick in the mud’. He’s scared of Zarr and Herald, the former because of his size and Herald because he’s “a little extreme, commander”.

 

 When loyal, Herald will reveal that the Blue Flames considered recruiting Andre, but his sexual deviance ‘was a major turn off’.

It seems like all your characters were born in Andromeda. Could you make some which were born in MW and then got the Ark?

I've avoided the Milky Way for a few reasons:

 

1) What IS the Ark / ARKCON?

 

Since we don't know exactly what the ARK is or how ARKCON operates so I've avoided anything that recognizes a main story when writing up these characters. Was it a single large ship, or a haphazardly assembled flotilla of whatever ships they could find? Is the Ark actually an experimental hyper-Mass Relay based on that found on Ilos ( a one-way jump)? What is it?

 

The closest connection I have towards the Milky Way is a vague theory that the Blue Flames Cultists have their roots in Blue Suns mercenaries fleeing from the Milky Way a long time ago and that Andre's violin was made on Earth many years ago. Also, while not accurate, I like to pretend the year is 2525.

 

 

2) When does it depart?

 

If it departs after some galactic alterations take place (Krogan Genophage, Rannoch, Thessia), they'd be able to make mention of and thus either canonize certain actions or Bioware would have to implement a save transfer and thus continue onwards that way.

 

3) How long does it take to get there?

 

Only a Krogan or Asari could survive the trip if its taken with conventional means (even with reaper tech the journey is an estimated 200+ years). Zarr, who I altered for Andromeda, was originally written as a baby on Tuchanka when a Quarian salvage team picked him up and took them with him. If altered ( I won't) He would thus be born in the Milky Way and then got onto the Ark.

I was talking about most common Ark theory. It departs before main choices of ME3 are made and all passengers make it to Andromeda in their lifetime, whether through wormhole or with stasis.
