Where can I find that map from the AA gun (SP)? It's a map that has stone brown walls, some broken, with a long central ramp that goes down and like a bunker with a control room.
I downloaded all the maps from the OP but I didn't find that one.

Basically, it's the map from this video:
What's its name?
Thanks, now I recognize it. I saw that blue stuff and I thought it was like a jacuzzi ![]()
Then I ignored it ![]()

Never thought of it like that- now why would a control room need such a massive cooling column....have you found the old pc's lying around on that map?
No I haven't, I probably didn't notice them :/
minor maintenance - maps migrated from imageshack to imgur (imageshack major global policy/conditions change at year end 2015 - will render pictures missing).
I m not sure about the turret spot on white at X36y45
But pretty sure there s one on x31y44
Why is this alive?

ack that. to make sure our coordinates are aligned - x marks the spot.Correct/Reposition?
Why is this alive?
more important, why not?
This Thread needs more love!
Problem is, that I am so terrible in remembering all those things.
I wld put it in alignment with the middle of the stairs coming down along y44, yeah, that means it s more y44 than y 45ack that. to make sure our coordinates are aligned - x marks the spot.Correct/Reposition?
Ok will do.I wld put it in alignment with the middle of the stairs coming down along y44, yeah, that means it s more y44 than y 45
^ maybe the walls are all right, but the enemy use Drill / Armor Piercing Rounds or Piercing Mods. ![]()
Nobody goes out there without penetration options!
But I never noticed this on Vancouver Y48, X20 or on White.
Only on Condor.
It's called False Cover iirc.
See map Y48, X20 on vancouver as example. There are a few others like white etc.
Never had it there, but at X48,Y63 frequently.
Rocket troopers can penetrate everywhere:

Yes. The video is a excellent example of such transparent wall. It's called False Cover iirc.

The wall there in that spot is certainly ... porous. You can actually shoot through the edge with projectile weapons as well to kill enemies that are at the far end of the room. They normally don't shoot back because LoS. Rocket troopers are the only exception and also they have spotted you. If you keep a bit to the left while coming there, they don't notice.
ok. here is some first impression of Ghost.
I'll not update the main maps on page 1 of this thread, until it has stablized.
1) We have to find a proper name for it : Two candidates are a) False Cover b ) Invisible Walls. Maybe there are some better descriptive names?
2) Due to the thickness of the walls, even bright colours get lost. Since it is not automatically the full length of a wall an icon would not be sufficient. See If you can easily find it in the picture below. If you have a better idea on how to highlight such spots, let me know.

I would call it something like permeable wall to indicate that while the wall graphic is there, it doesn't block enemy shots.
'Invisible wall' means the opposite to me (no visible graphic, but it *does* block movement/shots).
'False cover' is kind of open to interpretation although I guess if you simply define your terms, then that's what it means from now on in this context.
Don't want to make it more complicated than necessary, but how do you call a wall where something like that happens:
"Hard to penetrate"?
